To celebrate, I decided to do something a little different β€” take you through the entire process of developing a custom soft plastic color from scratch.

The plan sounded simple: build a two-color laminate with a rich brown top, chartreuse belly and red flake.

Yeah... it didn't exactly go according to plan. πŸ˜‚

In this video, you're seeing the whole process β€” the first attempt, the adjustments, testing opacity in different bait profiles, changing the recipe, shooting it again, and eventually landing on a color that works in both thin finesse baits AND thicker power baits.

And somewhere along the way, BROWN CHICKEN BROWN TROUT was born. πŸ˜‚πŸŽ£

This isn't just a color-pouring video. I wanted to show what actually goes into developing a repeatable color recipe instead of magically cutting from an idea to a finished bait.

And most importantly β€” THANK YOU for 2,000 subscribers. Seriously. The growth of this channel lately has been incredible, and I appreciate every one of you who watches, comments, shares these videos and follows along with what we're building at Bent Rod Fishing.
