I visited the underground hospital as a child whilst on a family holiday. Amazing place, would definitely go back to view it as an adult

I spent several months working in Guernsey in 2004, many elderly locals told me of their war experiences. Some spent the war in London, others saw it through. The hospital built by slave labour underground was horrific, the channels on either side of the massive corridors were 18 inches wide, built to let a lot of blood flow,  The wards were massive prison cells, they built it for the 'field hospital. for the invasion, which thankfully they never managed. The Eastern Europeans who built the hospital were simply built into the walls as they died.  One old lady had been a teenager and had fallen in love with a Soldier, even 60 years later she had not been forgiven.   I was friendly with a nephew of the governor of Jersey who loaned me his uncles autobiography it was a very interesting read.

At 12:44, a building bears the sign "Feldkommandtur 719"  The internet disclaims the existence of such a headquarters.  At 18:46, you have a sign "Feldkommandantur 723" on a building.  Neither 719 nor 723 was the number designated to Jersey's Feldkommandantur, and neither photo shows the building where it was established, which still exists today.

I'm an 85yr old Canadian Grandma and my Uncle was gone to WW11 for SIX YEARS.  The people on the Islands  weren't living under the Blitz. My family in Canada wasn't having an easy time despite no bombing. ANYWAY,  WW11 was a terrible, dreadful god awful war for the entire world. ❤

The story I like is the men at the airport offered the Germans to keep the grass clipped ...They left it an extra 2" long! BUT TRIMMED NICELEY. Their contribution to the war was either 7 or 9 aircraft, that slipped off the end of the runnway and were wrecked, due to the excess dew, that collected on the grass

At 6:02, you are describing how the occupation began (in 1940) but accompany that with a picture of the Red Cross ship Vega, which first arrived in Jersey on December 30th 1944.

Your photo at 12:39 has "St. Helier, 1940" printed across it.  It is certainly not a photo of St. Helier.

British Post intercepted close to 400 letters Adressed to: THE COMANING OFFICER, JERSEY. Without being signed, So & So has a radio (or other contraban) to which the post office destroyed the  letters

"The German flag that flew over this British island" during the Occupation of Jersey was the Swastika, not the black/red/gold flag that accompanies those words you use at 0:32.  At 6:44, you show that black/red/gold flag again, and call it "the flag of the Reich."  It was not the flag of the Reich.

Rumour was that the victim had collaborated with the Germans in Jersey during the Second World War.

My mother’s family, the Gabourels came from Jersey Island. Most reside by way of British Honduras,  on the former British Island, Utila Bay Island. War is evil. Thank you for posting.

On the liberation of Aldeny, 4500 Germans were shot to death. ¿ Why ? The lieutenent Colonal, under  a white flag, that came out to except the German surrender, was shot dead. The result, all German soldiers were shot to death....It took many years for the Islanders to tell me that it was true. I knew it because I bought my house from a man that was a soldier on the liberating force of Aldeny

Why, in these videos about Jersey, Guernsey and Sark, is the black-red-gold flag of democratic Germany used to represent Hitler's Reich?
The flags hoisted all bore swastikas, and reresented an evil regime.
The evil they symbolised is fudged by the use of the German tricolour, and is an affront to the democracy that country is today.
