At any point in time, we may or may not be in direct presence of our Gurudev, but what is important is how we offer respect to them in our heart (when we are not in direct presence of our Guru) and how we diligently act and respect our Gurudev in his physical presence. Radhanath Maharaj has very nicely captured this aspect in this audio clip

1.Ritvik devotees are personality cult unfortunately
representative of guru parampara must be in line with sadhu guru shastra
Vyasadeva approaches Narada, his spiritual master not because Narada is Narada but because he is representing lord Brahma and supreme lord Kṛṣṇa. Similarly Prabhupada disciples are to be approached as representive of Srila Prabhupada and previous Āchāryas not as personality cult. We should see srila Prabhupada manifesting within them. Same for disciples of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saravati thakur Prabhupada disciples they are representing Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saravati thakur Prabhupada. Every genuine Disciple takes humble position infront of his Guru, however qualified he himself may be.
2.I think Same for councellor s for those who are genuinely representing Guru varga, they qualify sadhu, shastra, guru principle, not for those who run on mental speculation based on thier intellectual abilities.
Intellectuals and Brahmanas are similar in face but are way different from each other in reality.
They don't apply sadhu guru shastra principle but rather put faith in mental speculation on basis of their intelligence.
3.to give best to our Āchāryas is to transfer their message as it is. Whatever little we know should be represented very nicely. That is the best service we can do to them.
4. Essence of all these efforts is to induce people to chant Holy name of Lord Kṛṣṇa.
