Tears in my eyes for how much you help so many horses and people.  The owner was so distraught trying to help that poor filly and now she has a real gem with such a good start with a proper head collar and gentle, sensible foundational training.  She's really beautiful and when she came to you at the end in obvious relief and gratitude and joy, that made me cry!  Happy tears.  Thank you so much for all you do and for sharing what you've learned. 💗

Always appreciate the owners who allow us to watch how you handle tricky ( and potentially dangerous)  situations with their horses. Kudos to this lady for calling you to help her filly. Can't imagine how painful that halter was on her face! 😢 Stuff happens even to the best of owners.

Poor lil thang. The filly needed they old halter removed it's sad she was sold that way, Just happy to see her no longer in pain. She will make a good companion one day. She definitely seemed happier at the end of all that.

Steve, and Tania, what a wonderful thing you did for that young horse. You changed her outlook on life - relieving her of pain, and also showing her it’s ok to trust. And then in the new paddock, she came and said thank you, I’m sure. She realised. She knew. You are wonderful. Your calm assertive, kind ways are spot on - and so applicable in all areas of life!  Love you to bits.

Aw poor horse was suffering , thank God you came there and helped her. I hate to see people or animals suffer. :face-pink-tears:

Maggots at least keep the wound clean ironically. They’ll eat out the decaying flesh which is what you need. It’s the getting that halter off and stopping further infection that’s the problem. Poor little one. She’s just trying to protect herself.

Steve when you nicker to her she trusted you so deeply and that rolling of pure joy abd freedom from pain before she gifted you that stunning thankyou look at the end said it all. When you are in terrible pain, and terrified of more being inflicted the only route for survival is to flee. We do now always recognise our rescuers, some angles don’t have wings, and you are one Steve. Gifted with being able to reach into that horses deepest terror, and find a way to help them trust you to free themselves from the nightmare. I was wrong… id did not think you cld go up any higher in my estimations, but you just rocketed into infinity… bles you and that dear sweet kind gentle little pony… both a joy to the world so thnx for sharing this magic moment xx
