During my teens, Rushie was immense, scoring with both feet and heading them in for good value. WHAT A PLAYER, legend and truly humble gentleman. HE will never walk alone!

Not a Liverpool fan but Ian Rush was a phenomenal striker one of the greatest to grace the game

Back when the FA cup was magical....

One of the best to ever do it. It feels like he is so underrated.  He made finishing to look so easy.

His greatest asset was the ability to use both feet, this opened up so many angles to goal, making it virtually impossible for the goalkeepers to read.

He broke my Evertonian heart in 1986 and av never recovered 😢But hats off too a Legend of the Game one of the best il ever see sticking the ball in the Net🤝

I was a kid in the 80's and I can testify, hand on heart, that everybody's dads looked like Ian Rush.

Liverpool' greatest striker.  What a player 💪🏽 ❤

Ian Rush Ian Rush Ian Ian Rush when he gets that ball he scores a goal Ian Ian Rush Ian Ian Rush Ian Ian Rush 🕺🕺🐐the best striker there ever will

Joe fagan did not resign because of Heysel. He let it be known in March of that year, that he was retiring at the end of the season.

One of the best finishers I have ever seen in the last 55 years, so consistent. As an LFC fan I always thought the team would win when he played, total class.

Now that's a proper striker👍Goals scoring machine with both feet and his head. Humble and just a really nice man.
YNWA Rushie

I started supporting lfc in 77 & was lucky enough to witness ian rush from beginning to end .......that hat trick at an icy villa park ...left foot volley, header & the right foot lob over the goalie. The man just can not be stopped.A legend of the club who sits @ the top tabel.

Ian Rush was fantastic, right enough he had some wonderful players around him then, Souness, Dalglish, Wheelan, wee Sammy Lee, to name a few, plus the manager's were always top notch,.

Ian Rush is by far my favorite Liverpool player of all time.

From 83/87 he was the best striker in the world

Imagine what he would be worth if he was playing today...

I’m just so happy that I witnessed Rushie’s playing career at LFC. True legend of the club.
