This film documents the construction of the Oshiage Station on the Tokyo Metropolitan Subway Line 1. A key feature of this film is the construction work to connect the Keisei Electric Railway to Subway Line 1. The construction utilized both caisson and open-cut tunneling methods. The platform was designed to accommodate four lines simultaneously (both up and down) for through service with the Keisei Electric Railway. Unlike conventional subways, it was the first subway line in Japan to use a pantograph system.

地図にあるセメントサイロのところで子供の頃ミキサー車にあやうく轢かれそうになった事あるんですが今の賑わいからは考えられないほど静かで街灯もなくて、親からはそこの道は危険だから通るなと言われてました。
結局スカイツリー出来たところで変わらなかったけど、京成ホームの狭さは何とかならないか子供の時からの疑問でしたが、
当時でやれるだけの超難関工事だったんですね。
17:35 からハッと現在の面影が見えてどの部分か想像してしまうけど、
スカイツリー建設する時にこれらの埋設物は壊されずに拡充されたんですかね？
これからはホームの狭さを毛嫌わず、電車が通っているだけも有難いと感謝して使わせてもらいます。
押上駅は完成当時、東洋一の地下駅と言われたけれど、今では手狭です。
