Greatest 9 minutes in a superhero movie ever.

@andresalise8000 1 year ago

from that moment the passengers new the heavy weight of responsibility has to hold, people to save, and a reason to hide his identity. they all realized that he was just a kid, fighting for them, saving them. now this is a definition of being a hero

@Mandalorian_Goblinslayer 1 year ago

Huge respect to the passengers not only they tried to protect Spider Man from Doc Ock but they swore to never reveal his identity 🥹🥹🫡🫡

These 9 minutes has everything a super hero movie should have

People don’t give Sam Raimi enough credit for being a phenomenal fight choreographer. Remember, this was at the beginning of the modern era of comic book movies. We had only seen superhero action of this caliber on the page, not on the big screen.

Downey might of carried the MCU but Tobey carried marvel ! ❤️

This movie is another level of special.

Tobey Maguire's Spider-man movies had something the new movies lack - a heart and a soul!

I just want to get nostalgic for a second:

Imagine going to see this movie at theater in NYC back in 2004 🍿🎥 What a time to be alive.

THATS WHY HE'S THE GOAT!

Tobey's spider-man was a brawler whose hands were rated E for everyone

Bro Joey Diaz is in this wtf. I’ve known about this dude since I was a kid then just never knew it till rewatching this back 😂

If this were real and happened in 2025, Peter would have woken up to a bunch of cell phone cameras in his face. There wouldn't even be a hope of that kid saying "we won't tell nobody".

What makes the battle sequence look so real is that they limit CGI on the wide shots only and use practical effects on the close up shots and the composite it altogether making it look more real.

8:07 Props to the 1st guy in front. He was willing to lay down his own life for Spider-Man. The other 2 in the back were like lets get on the bandwagon to not look cowardly.

It’s rare seeing Andrew’s and Tom’s spideys fight with fists with other villains. But Tobey was always ready to throw hands 👊🏽

The plot of this scene is pretty simple, and logical. Yet we do not have such an iconic scene from any other movie.

These movies used to show just how resilient NYC was and how closely bonded everyone was. Not a single soul there would give Spidey up. And each one of those people will tell the story until the day they died, they got to see Spider-Man’s face.
