This was an enjoyable random painting. It could have turned into a number of things along the way. As is often the case when painting in this style of colour beginnings and abstract marks to begin with. I do love that the initial marks made with the hake brushes looked pretty bad, but as soon as I used the spray bottle the colours all joined together and it turned into a painting.

This was painted on Hahnemuhle White Etching Paper 300gsm 53cm x 39cm (half a sheet). This is pretty cheap paper and about half the price of most other papers I use. It is not my favourite but still acid free and archival.  

The colours used were:
Yellow Ocher
Cobalt Blue
Cadmium Red
Paynes Grey

The Brushes used were
Many different size and makes of hake brush
Some 2 inch, some 1 inch
My size 12 pure kolinsky sable
Half inch flay nylon
Also used 3M magic tape to tape onto the board
My trusty spray bottle
And an MDF board as the support

Rives BFK etching paper. Probably best to source this from your local store so you can look after the paper and not have it posted unless you are buying a large amount of paper and it will be looked after.
