This whole video had me telling myself “He’s allowed to have is own opinion” like a mantra

This is the most upset a video has made me in a while

I think a good video idea would be "albums that grow on you." Stuff where you don't get it at first, but after a few listens becomes one of your favorites. I find a lot of albums like that.

I don't even particularly like RHCP but saying the most interesting thing about them is the singer's voice when Flea is right there is insane.

id check out "twinkle twinkle little star" its an absolutely great album humpty dumpty at his absolute prime

Saying Anthony Kiedis is the most interesting part about the Chili Peppers has got to be ragebait, there is no way someone with a brain and a soul feels that way

Quit in the middle of a surgery to watch the new blustre video. Patient woke up to watch it with me.

you underestimate how huge rhcp was in the 90's and then again in the 00's. i went to school with so many people that lived and breathed that band

it's crazy people disregard music for sounding too mainstream, i can see why music fans are probably the most hated out of all art mediums, we can be so so pretentious.

Dark Side of the Moon did not receive the level of praise it did because of the album cover.

If you only think people like Kid A because it's "experimental" then I'm not sure you understand the appeal.

The Dark Side of the Moon's sound design was legendary and changed the course of music. The use of delays and panning, the constant use of noises to create soundscapes literally paved the way for the rest of Pink Floyd's "better albums"

Then you figure it's STILL one of the tip 5 best selling albums of all time makes it perfectly rated!!!

9:50 complete opposite reaction for me, saw the album cover everywhere my whole life, finally went to listen to it and went "Oh my god why didn't I listen to this sooner?"

Kid A was weirdly very accessible for me as a fan of experimental electronic music and idm like Aphex Twin. I get why it'd be boring to some, but the uncomfortable, off-kilter atmosphere, production, and lyricism is so intoxicating to me. It's easily my favorite Radiohead album tbh

the strokes take is fight on sight tier

Why do people act like anything made before 1990 is "dated" or unlistenable? The Velvet Underground and Nico is a great experience and if you listen to it and understand the context it's pretty easy to understand its enormous impact on music, aswell as its artistic value

Love the subjectivity of music because I think that In the Aeroplane Over the Sea is about as close to perfection as you can get

Had to stop my other video. Blustre the Dustre just dropped.

Totally agree plenty of these are overrated but to end a lot of these takes by saying they’re “boring” or “not fun to listen to” is such a shallow take. Albums can be overrated while still being good, interesting to listen to, and  influential even but I also understand if they are just not your thing.

I gotta say, I really appreciate the way you speak about subjectivity in music because even just "oh, comely" off of Aeroplane is one of the most beautiful pieces of songwriting I think I've ever heard.
