Thank you so much!  You made this repair very easy to follow along and I’m thrilled to have a working mower again!

You are my newest hero. Long live the mini mowers!

I replaced mine yesterday, and it's significantly better. It's like power steering now, as it turns very easily compared to before.

It's a simple project, but watching Peter complete it made it easier for me.

Awe ! I've been doing ga search for rattle and couldn't figure your videos  just pointed to the noisyest sound on mower Thanks for your video and time

I just found your video. Thank you so much. I will be ordering the upgrade kit. thanks man!

My Craftsman R1000 is the predecessor to this rider, and it's 9 yrs. old. I always throughly washed, cleaned it every year. Lubed all pivot points, greased the front wheels, and steering bracket and steering gear. The steering still works like new. No problems. No slippage. People don't read the operators manual.

Great video thanks, very helpful. Just one tip guys. The arms comes in silver and gold, just remember which one is Left and which one is Right to make your installation easier.

Hi Peter, I just finished installing this upgrade steering kit. Wow, what a difference this kit makes in removing that excessive slop. Thanks for the great step by step video installation instructions and tips. Very appreciative for the time you take to share this well done video series of helpful information for DIY's, like me.  Terry D

Great video! I think I'll go ahead and order one of those kits before I need it.

Thank you!!!❤

Nice job. I have Cubcadet lr1 and I must do the same. Thanks for this instruction.

great video, link shows correct parts but check lower prices for same  parts , less than $20

Thanks i will change and fix the steering problem

The hole where the pinion shaft goes through the plate is also warn into an oval shape letting the gears not mesh properly

I will also check the steering column , its possible the hole (where the screw go through)  on the tube that slides over the steering rod could be worn. thanks again for your video

make sure you have good pressure in your front tires too that helps a lot with steering effort!

Did the manufacturer have a recall? The gear rack tool should have had a shave station for longer life, other improvements helpful.

as u start  moving then u turn wheels  so it not over stress   front end parts

👏👏👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏
