"please ask your grandmother if she's in the market for another granddaughter" weird way to propose, but yes, i accept /j

She said she wanted to be a lawyer, so could we please have an alternate universe where the valley girl defends us in court against manslaughter charges which we very clearly committed

I love that you did a valley girl character who definitely is a bit narcissistic but she doesn't have to be mean to others to be over confident. I like I love that she's like "I'm perfect obviously, but that doesn't mean you can't be perfect too" vibes and it makes me so happy.

"I'll give you 20 bucks, and give you one of my tops, and do your makeup sometime, maybe invite you to this party..."

Girl, you had me at 20 bucks.

I like to think that in the future, when this character is our personal assistant, she’s still in our phone as “The Angel From History Class✨❤️🧸”

love the idea that the reason we have so many strange requests as the celebrity is because we remember our personal assistant telling us she likes chewing people out for obscure, stupid things and we just rolled with it for the rest of our relationship.

‘So now Claire has been officially moved from my crush list to my hit list’
I laughed at this for about 5 minutes 😭

"Your grandma is going to have her fucking socks blown of" actually caught me off guard and I bursted out laughing

Is nobody gonna talk about how Valley Girl's parents decided to have their "weekend getaway" on her birthday? 🥺

I’m literally a guy and this is still my favourite video ever. “Look at you miss universe” lmao hell yes I am

i was about to comment a joke about how this was how we met the personal assistant- and then she said her dream job was to be a personal assistant. this was a really cool video idea!

"if you have a crush you're legally obligated to tell me"
all of us who have a crush on valley girl assistant: sweating

Valley Girl confirmed wlw and put someone on her hit list for being against the choice to not wear makeup? I'm in love

A year later, I'm still really impressed Erin took the trend of "playing with your hair in class" videos and made an origin story for how the celebrity met the personal assistant.

This video was legitimately healing. I was bullied by popular girls from grade school on. Often times, they'd pretend to want to be my friend and then laugh at me for "falling for it" or mock me for being socially inept. Through this video, I kept waiting for the ball to drop, waiting for her to start snickering and poking. And it just didn't happen. Maybe people can be nice. Even if it's just a scripted video, it feels nice to have my expectations upended and for this to legitimately just be a hypothetical pleasant interaction between two students. I hope some girl out there gets this sort kindness from one of her peers today and I hope I can share this type of kindness with others in my daily life. Thank you.

I really appreciate that Erin's Valley girl is super nice. I love the valley girl vibes, but other ASMR artists always seem to make them mean or passive-aggressive. My social anxiety can't handle all that, so a nice valley girl is such a relief.

i don’t know why but i was really touched by the throwaway comment of valley girl being upset about claire shaming a girl for not wearing makeup… as someone who made the personally freeing choice to go makeup-free for a few years now it’s very validating to hear that from the mouth of someone so clearly interested in & talented at makeup, fashion, and appearance. just rly warmed my heart and made me feel sort of more ok about myself to imagine such a cool and stylish girl defending the right of other girls to appear differently

"Professor? What if we dont make mistakes?"
"I only own a pen cause I'm perfect"
omg that was hysterical

I like how this is her backstory. She obviously becomes an assistant to a famous person and it’s nice to see where she started and how she’s always been amazing

i love that we became best friends and didn’t ask for our name until 26 minutes later. very relatable behaviour
