Ok I got to get this out of my head. I headcanon that Mary Macdonald had a farm…ei ei oh

So the Wizarding World franchise had the perfect recipe for a prequel in the Marauders and the First Wizarding War, but chose to remake the main series whose last film is just 15 years old

My favorite Marauder will always be Remus Lupin, I just love a good bookworm.

Girl i just watched your familys video and i immediately came to see if you posted the marauders one!! Keep doing these harry potter deep dives :)

Ahhh!!! I live for Sirius and Remus 😭😭😭

19:50 I have a very unhealthy obsession with Rosekiller…

the mauraders have been my whole personality for a while and honestly ,  i’m not complaining

This is so good! Talking about Dorcas and Marlene got me thinking, can we get a video deep dive on specifically other blank slate/ semi-canon characters like Daphne Greengrass and Tracey Davis? I think Theodore Nott technically falls under that umbrella too. If not, all good, but would be so fun to get your perspective!

Ignoring “Snily” was a personal attack lol

If Sirius was the secret keeper the death eaters would have tortured and killed him.

You’ve greatly simplified the story of the secret keeper. It is important to note the atmosphere of sheer terror that prevailed at the time. According to Moody, the Death Eaters outnumbered the Order twenty to one. Entire families of Order members were being murdered. The war seemed lost. Then came the prophecy, offering a glimmer of hope. Snape relayed it to Voldemort, but when Voldemort targeted the Potters, Snape betrayed him. Dumbledore gained a spy. Yet, the Death Eaters continued to win. James and Sirius suspected a spy within their inner circle; believing it was Lupin, they unwittingly entrusted the role of Secret-Keeper to the real traitor. Peter’s betrayal was driven by fear—possibly fear for his own family, too, given that at the time of his betrayal, Voldemort was on the verge of wiping out the Order. If Voldemort hadn't heeded Snape's pleas and had refused to spare Lily's life, and if Lily had not shielded the crib with her own body, the Order would have lost the war. It was a miracle that the entire Order did not perish.

1:57 everyone paints their heros as themselves. That's why in part it's never good to actually meet your heros.

the funny thing is, I read the books way back, before the whole fanon marauders thing happened. And I immediately read queer undertones into Remus' and Sirius' relationship. At that point I didn't know that it was very likely not intended to read as such, but being used to stuff not being explicitly named, it does have enough of the standard coding tropes to alert the senses. That being said, this whole fanon is a prime example of people taking an interesting idea, running with it and making it sooooo much better than canon could ever have dreamed of. I like that we have morally grey characters, it's always more exciting when they aren't perfect - people aren't perfect. We do shit we later regret while growing up, it's part of learning who you are and testing the limits of society (yes, not all of it is the same level of shitty, but I feel their school yard bullying while taken too far definitely is something someone would grow out of and probably regret in hindsight - while Snape being a grown-ass man bullying children definitely is a lot more fucked up and not excusable by being bullied himself 15years ago, get therapy, dude)

You should do a whole deep dive on Peter Pettigrew omg the Gildrat stuff you'd love so much !!!

Always a joy to see a video from you show up on my feed.

And now to the Luna qoute for this video
"I sleepwalk, you see. That's why I wear shoes to bed."

Oh i love those deep dives, more more more pleaseeee

I just wanna say you’re my new favourite YouTuber ❤

Jegulily mentioned im screaming

I can see why the fandom splintered off and there’s this need for a marauders series. This is littered with characters and potential

Harry Potter was my thing as a child, sure, but as soon as I discovered the marauders, I have never recovered. It kept me up at night but it helped me a lot as a teenager to finally have characters to fully relate to, something I personally just never had in most movies, series or franchises in general. You're great, I found your channel just then and I will definitely subscribe :)
also, yes. you look like Evanna Lynch, how does it feel to be gods favourite?
