If you want patterns for a special skein of sock yarn, especially a hand-dyed one, I HIGHLY recommend Sybil R's patterns. She's done mitts, socks, scarves/shawls, and more, but my favourites are her mitts. The construction is unusual but interesting, and great for breaking up colour pooling. She's probably my favourite designer.

I would add Reyna Shawl which I’ve knit about 3 times, easily adjusted to use a full skein of yarn, then the famous Musselburgh Hat also designed to use a full skein of fingering weight.  Thanks for taking the time to put this compilation together.

Great episode for those of us who collect single, beautiful skeins. Thank you!

I have SO many souvenir skeins of yarn and this video is a great way to help me figure out what to make with it! Thanks so much for compiling!

now I have to go back and watch the episode again so that I can see exactly what it is that I would like to attempt to make. Sometime ago I happened upon an entire bag of very very special hand died fingerling I think it is there must’ve been eight or nine of them in the bag, at a thrift shop from a church… Come to find out it was from the estate of an elderly woman, and I’m fairly certain she paid a good price for this yarn, it’s very special… And part of me really wants to make something sweet in honor of her and the blessing of finding this beautiful yarn. I really need to go back and see which of the patterns I would most like to try.🙏

Always impressed with Youtube for showing me relevant videos - like this one the day after I started a pattern hunt for a single skein of fingering yarn that I got from Maryland Sheep and Wool.

I love the snowflake party pattern

Really enjoyed your choice of patterns

The Spindrift Shawl is a nice pattern - very well-written with row-by-row stitch count. Excellent for a first shawl. Easy to make, great looking, and easy to style.

Denver cowl done in daisy stitch = gorgeous. The Weigh It shawl, easy portable project. ❤

This episode just popped up on my feed.  I’m sitting here balling up 2 special sock skeins and now I have lots of great patterns to choose from.  Thanks for doing the hard part!

Thanks for pulling all the lovely patterns together. I have MANY fingering weight specialty skeins. I love the "Wendy's fern shawl". So pretty.

I like the simplicity of Casapinka’s Woven shawlette to show off a cracking variegated yarn. Thanks for these ideas!

I never realized how in depth chrochet and yarn are until I started watching YouTube lol

I come back to this video sooooo au times!! I truly love all of the items you picked!!!

I'm loving the Venezia Shawl.  Thanks for putting this group together - I have many souvenirs!

The birds and ships is definitely on my to knit list. I like cowls that are nice and snug, and the lace is very pretty.

I love how you see flowers in the snowflake pattern shawl. That's very pretty. I'm currently knitting the Webster Street Knittery by Jennifer Peck "Free For All Cowl". It uses one skein of worsted or one skein of fingering weight yarn held doubled (which is what I'm doing). It's a ten row repeat that has a great pattern / design to it.

4:14 my first thought was butterflies 🦋

Thanks for the wonderful Ravelry Bundle! I appreciated your complete and methodical explanation of the patterns. Very organized! So many great free patterns. I love the simplicity of the Early Spring Bud Cowl.

My favorite was the bandana cowls! Either one!
