Mornin James. I love when you teach me something. Our yard buys wire on percentages ranging from 15 to 75% and it depends on the scale operator on the size you get paid , I have had to jump in many times and threatin to take my wire back. Many prayers to your friend Chris .

Well I learned something new today. I have a bunch of extension cords to strip and I am definitely going to use my drill to unravel the inner wire. God bless you my friend. I’ll stop by HHRecycling channel and keep him in my prayers.

First, I prayed for Chris as you were asking, that God deliver him from Cancer,  2nd. I heard your heart for him, God love you brother.  You have a heart for him in his time of trouble.   The video its self was quite informative as I have a 55 gallon plus barrel full of extension cord,  the drill trick is wonderful
I'm going to turn in the  the medium to smaller cords in as insulated wire but the bigger stuff?? Not so much, rhat drill trick will make all the difference,  thank you.

Great video James. I will be praying for Chris. Unfortunately I know the emotions we go through when we hear of a friend suffering from a terminal illness. God is great and prayer works. May the lord bless and protect him and his family.

I love doing extension cords.  I zip them through my Vevor wire stripper, swipe off the tissue paper, then run the inner wires through my Gomine granulator.  I think extension cords / power cords are my favorite to do.  Love to watch the copper pour out of the granulator! 🙂

Have followed your channel for a while and have appreciated the content and vocational ministry aspect of what you post. I have also deeply appreciated your consistent detail on the monetary value for your scrapping work. I have taught science for almost 40 years and for more than the past decade I annually had my students investigate if copper scrapping was "worth it" (as you indicate in your video title). I would have the trash pandas ... er ... students do their own sourcing of waste wire, track their time on task and calculate monetary conversions. The reports always came down to an assessment of Supply, Quality, Time and Transportation and concluded that when all factors were considered that scrapping copper would not clear a minimum wage. Sometimes the results would get skewed if a Dad became an enthusiastic ghost student/participant in the project or if the student farmed the processing out to a younger sibling. It might be possible to make more than a minimum wage if you had a nearby, consistent supply of strippable wire. "Worth" is an interesting word as opposed to "value" as you point out. The students, on their own usually, come up with the intangible benefits for the environment and personal purpose of removing non-ferrous metals from our waste streams and utilizing down time for processing.
