Great narrator.  Wonderful voice.  Feels like listening to a grandfather reading a book to grandkids.

1:32:17 this reminds me of a quote from the book the boy, the mole, the fox, and the horse. “Whats the bravest thing you’ve ever said? Help. Asking for help isnt giving up. Its refusing to give up.”

Incredible story!  I listened to the entire story in one sitting.  Very heart-felt & realistic in reference to the HP lore.

i got a buddy whos bio mom and her 2nd husbands family faught for custody, then treated him absolutely horrible, and caused dad to leave the country, because it was the only way to keep from losing his job due to her behavior, he kept fighting but.. it took him moving to the private schools jr.high campus for him to find staff who were not under his parents influence... the ONLY reason they sent him to the same school their kids went to was because it would look bad if they didnt... took us a couple years of highschool get get him to just accept that he didnt need to earn our friendship or the kindness our families showed him... he was living with grandma at that point dad was still on contract overseas, his ex's family ended up paying back all the child support he paid them, with interest, as part of keeping themselves out of prison, and it didnt work, the judge wasnt having it... 6 people went to prison over that.. dudes mom, grandma and step, grandma, and 2 aunties... whos husbands divorced them when they found out what they had been doing to a child... and took in the kids when they got locked up... to the kids credit they treated my buddy ok, not great but not abusive.. none of them were treated like duddly was in the books, mostly just parents who loved having kids to show off but didnt really want to raise or care about their kids...

the best part is that his ex faced another set of charges for stuff she stole from him and his family, some she pawned and the slips were in her records boxes, others she had stashed around her house like trophies... grand larceny over a work laptop she stole.. and that he spent 2 years paying off via garnished paychecks.. (a mobile workstation that was over 3500bucks back then..)... she hadnt even used it she just stole it to fuck with him.. before they broke up...

oh was she ENRAGED when she was sent letters by her mother with images of her ex, the kids... and.. the ex's new wife... who went after him before she was legal in most of the US... (my state would just shrug though...) ... her dad was the age of my buddies eldest bro... and fully approved... in part because of the 'rich american' stereotype but more because he saw that she genuinely was happy with him and... the man was VERY protective of her without even realizing it... just instinct "protect waifu"...(how she puts it.. LOL..)... shes around 1/2 the ex's age, loyal to a fault, (he had to tell her to hang out with her church friends including the 2 feminine men(gay AF)... she was worried he would question her fidelity.... "hun, i have known them for longer than you have... if you show them your tits they will compliment them... show them your vag and no joke.. they will GTFO and give you dirty looks for weeks-months... "   hes not wrong about those 2... i cannot blame them though.. i have met their mother and 3 sisters... and holy crap... what crappy people.. like genuinely shitty people... painfully shitty infact...  they blame men, for them chasing men away... the fact they freaked the fck out and were nastier than any rightwing conservative... the fact their admittedly homophobic uncle whos a pastor offered them a place to stay and help finding work if they needed it, he refuses to go to family reunions/events if the "kunt klux klan" as he calls them are going to be there... "yeah nooo" about covers it...

anyway buddy and his wife, have taken in several abused/neglected kids... 3 of them they got back in touch with family when the state couldnt... (took them understanding the parents were totally out of the picture and 2 of the kids parents were in prison for 37+ years for the abuse and neglect they subjected their kids to... ) one girl they had show up... after hearing they helped kids... was his niece who he had never met due to how psychotic his brother was.. bro showed up because he heard she was staying there and... he left in the back of an ambulance... he didnt realize they already had the authorities involved... both of them got arrested, bailed out, then ran and are still hiding outside of the US.. almost got caught a few times.. once they stole a boat to escape.. they beached a unit worth near half a million rather than just pull up to the dock and get off.. LOL

Nice story, with some few issues. But I like the way McGonagall takes control, and helps Harry and changes magical Britain - all for love

Damn the ending got me 😢 dang onion cutting wizard's

I love this story, thank you for sharing this story ❤❤

Well written story.   Thank you for sharing.

The rise of Tom Riddle to evil wizard can be led at Dumbledore's feet.  He could have changed everything with a placement of tom Riddle in a proper loving home. He ignored the problem and allowed the problem to fester to become the hero.

I always wanted a story where Harry's adamant opinion to Dumbledore at the end of the First book of not wanting to go back, makes Dumbledore rethink his plans for Harry more than he has ever done before, and returns to Harry (before Madam Pomfrey releases Harry)and presents two vials with the main polyjuice in each. He explains to Harry how he already put his Dumbledore's hair strand into the vial Harry will drink. The second needs Harry's Potter hair. They will each drink their assigned potion. Harry as Dumbledore will stay at Hogwarts; Dumbledore will travel with  Miss Granger and Mr. Weasley and go with the Dursleys for the Summer. Can  you  imagine the things Harry  can find out. The things Harry can put right which Dumbledore with his positions chose not to, for the sake of  giving certain supposed Imperioused victims a second chance, while certain others were railroaded? How many times could Dumbledore as Harry sneak food out of the Dursleys cupboards for real sustenance, after duplicating the food he sneaks away? Before he admits he  was deadly wrong to expect such people to treat Harry as family?

Professor McGonagall on behalf of Harry Potter should seek reparation from Dumbledore for the harm done to him for his first eleven years.

We hear over and over that Lily's love was the major reason Harry survived.  If Harry survived the curse it may have been blood protection between Lily Harry.  It was only ever assumed that Lily's blood protections would save Harry, only because Dumbledore said so, although there certainly  were many knowledge wiards and witchs that should have questioned whether those protections meant anything if Harry did not see Privet Drive as home.

Suppose I told you Dumbledore’s practices created Voldemort? He followed the same hands off policy with every student unless HE took an interest in that student. The first time he meets Tom, he’s takes Mrs. Cole’s assessment of him at face value. He never asks Tom why he did what he did, he just assumed it was to be cruel. Yet orphanage life in that time frame didn’t have a great reputation.

This isa wonderful story mostly well articulated with just treatment of Harry Potter & Albus Dumbledore

I'm loving your story. Thank you and I can't wait for the next part.

The whole point of putting him with petunia was the fact that she was his only blood relative and it's the only way that the the protection that his mother gave him would survive and the only way that Voldemort would have no volmort or any one of his minions would not be able to kill Harry... This whole story is so preposterous because frankly it doesn't even follow the books in any respect and it really it doesn't make any sense the longer you listen to it. None of the story ever happened in the books and the way JK Rowling wrote it it wouldn't have happened why because Harry would never have been put in a situation that he could not have used his innate magical abilities to protect himself.

This hits me hard.

I didn’t grow up in a cupboard but from early trauma and constant being yelled at and not walking on eggshells so much as broken glass…..

If only someone had stepped in for me like that. But the only people that knew and didn’t really know how bad it was ( more psychological & lots of intimidation and being degraded and belittled rather than clear marks from physical abuse.  figured)
But if they tried to talk to my dad about it he’d cut them off from us for months.

But they figured I’d be worse off if they called CPS and I wound up in a foster home (possibly getting molested or abused worse than I was)

We need the story about how Harry faced Vouldy.
