Didn't spend time on this in the video, but it's worth noting that the different forms of completeness we discuss are NOT all equivalent. The Nested Interval Property and Cauchy Completeness both need an additional property - the Archimedean principle - in order to prove the least upper bound property.

I tend to be mean whenever I hear an average math joke.

Math-adjacent joke:
Three logicians are seated in a bar. A waitress approaches and asks them, "Do you all want a drink?"
The first logician says, "I don't know." The second logician says, "I don't know." The third logician says, "Yes."

As his brother, I can confirm it's unfunny and needs to be obliterated from all human consciousness

Your fish joke does, in fact, establish the least upper bound of the quality of jokes in your video.

How was Ikea able to fit an infinite number of sofas in their wearhouse? By stacking them closer and closer together. It was a couchy sequence.

You want bad math jokes?

A group of mathematicians at the University of Warsaw in 1939 were trying to flee the country (for obvious reasons). One of them was a retired pilot, and desperate times call for desperate measures, so they came up with a plan to hijack an airplane and fly it out of the country. The day came, and, at first, the plan went smoothly. They were able to board the plane, break into the cockpit, and take control of the airplane without incident. But when the mathematician who was supposed to fly the airplane sat down in the pilot seat, he immediately realized they had a big problem. He hadn't flown an airplane in over a decade, and airplane technology had advanced rapidly in that time. He was far out of his depth and struggling to figure out how to even start the engines. The minutes dragged on, and the Nazi army began to arrive. His co-conspirators were yelling at him, "Hurry, we have to get out of here now!" He shouted back, "I'm trying, but I'm just a simple Pole in a complex plane!"

A mathematician had a dream where he was a bird, and that every time he entered a nest, there was a smaller one inside it that he could fit in. He woke up and told all his colleagues about it, and they all knew it was a real bird

I saw the thumbnail and figured out what the word play was before I saw the whole joke. It was funnier that way.

Here's my two cents.

Cent 1
An infinite number of mathematicians walk into a bar. The first asks the bartender for one pint. The second asks for two pints. The third asks for three pints. As the fourth is about to speak, the bartender immediately drinks 1/12th of a pint. The mathematicians leave, satisfied.

Cent 2
A physicist, a biologist and a mathematician sit in a sidewalk cafe, looking at a building Two people go into the building, but three people come out. The physicist says that their initial assumption of the house being empty was incorrect. The biologist says that the two individuals reproduced. The mathematician confidently stood up and said "No no, if one more person goes into the building, it will be empty!"

Edit: Added final line and second joke.

Two fish were in a tank
One of them said to the other:



"Do you know how to drive this thing?"



This is my best and only fish joke, unfortunately devoid of math

My favorite math joke:
An astronomer, a physicist, and a mathematician traveled to England for a conference, and as they were riding a train together through the countryside they passed a field with a single black sheep in it.  The astronomer said, "huh, apparently in England the sheep are black."  The physicist replied, "my dear fellow, I don't know how you can make such a broad generalization - all we know is that in this field, the sheep are black."  The mathematician, disappointed in his colleagues, shook his head and said, "both of you are far too presumptive.  All we can say for certain is that in England there exists at least one field, containing at least one sheep, at least one side of which is black."

A mathematician walks into a bar. "Now look here, bartender, I want you to give me one pint of beer for my first round, half a pint for my second round, then a quarter, then an eighth  -"
"Stop right there," says the bartender, as he puts two pints of beer on the bar. "That's your limit."

Your brother was right.

I got the joke just after starting this video and started laughing. May I say that you're a brilliant teacher, actually? If I were teaching an introductory course in real analysis, I'd show this video on the first day of class as an ice breaker.
