Can't wait for the 4th chapter where the prototype will watch the player do backflips and other forms of acrobatics seconds into the game to avoid even seeing him.

Imagine being Poppy and watching your savior fly on barrels and walking out of bounds to angrily murder your enemies. No wonder she sees us as her angel.

a speedrunner working as a playtester to help get rid of a bunch of skips then IMMEDIATELY finding a skip for the whole game as soon as it comes out is so funny

Favourite thing to happen in speedruns is it getting an "unrestricted" category. When the glitches go so far even any% runners can't handle it.

@eldwitchx 2 years ago

I'm of the mindset the Bugsnax devs have - patch glitches and bugs that would affect any casual players gameplay, but if a speedrunner goes out of their way to do something no casual player would do/find, let them have it.

10:39 i still love this part every time i rewatch cause Spiff's reaction is just pure bewilderment, not at the bisexuality, but why him specifically lmaoo

@cobaltordinaire 2 years ago

all I'm gonna say:
Why aren't there more animations of speedruns of games like this?
Literal spoon man grabs chairs and barrels to launch themself across the void before proceeding to open and close the door on a cat for a couple minutes

Miss Delight: "Someone locked the door. We can't get out."

Player: "Pathetic."

To be fair, HP doesn't just make printers, they also make shitty laptops full of bloatware.

@Moss_Dude 2 years ago

If they're getting a runner/content creator to playtest their games it should really be backseat, that guy absolutely destroys even the most solid of games, he breaks everything he touches

0:43 which is why I prefer other categories of speedrun though it’s interesting to see some of the crazy stuff that happens in any% runs with frame perfect skips that take skill not just luck to pull off.

It’s still so funny to me that Spiggs most reliable sponsor doesn’t even ship their product to his country

Your comment on the beginning of the video is why i enjoy other types of speedruns and having different categories more. With a lot of games, there comes a point that an extremely broken glitch comes along and, while the glitch is cool from a technical standpoint, it becomes horrible to watch as an audience.

POV: Speedrunner identifies dozens of skips for elimination, dev team doesn’t call back after they make those changes, and he immediately finds the 10x worse brand new skip created by the patch.

@PlatAPotato 2 years ago

2:50 "Devs hiring speed runners as play testers, it's finally happening"

Ubisoft took the horrendous approach to this, they created a Speedrun tournament and sponsored it then immediately after the tournament ended, they patched every single skip shown off

Ubisoft is the worst
