WHY Did They Remove This Feature??

Equipment manufacturers are removing the ability to hook up external lavalier mics to their newest wireless mic systems. In this video, I am speculating why this feature was removed.

I love the lav mic jack for those small wireless mics. You can plug any mic you want in it, as long as it doesn't require more power. Put a canon mic in a weird spot, or on a boom pole, plugged into a rode wireless pro, and you got a wireless boom audio AND can still add another lavalier or some random mic plugged in the second rode mic.

Probably all those things you mentioned, plus they are making them smaller. I use that feature when moto vlogging on my motorcycle. If they get rid of it completely, you can always either get a longer cable and plug it in straight to the camera, or use an external recorder.

Unfortunately, DJI transmitter is not to have enough output voltage to power high-quality microphones

The talent I work with on professional film productions hates any kind of wiring. Especially in action sci-fi and horror genre DJI Mic 3 is Godsent, easy to hide, no wiring, timecode synced (up to 4 transmitters per receiver), internal 32bit float and good quality capsules. Never going back to lavaliers. I can mike 16 actors with a very small footprint.
