"I don't get it"
Exactly, now you get it

This song is about Tommy the Cat scoring with a hot little feline that strutted her way down to O'Malley's Alley.

“They seem like a bunch of dads that decided to make up a band.”

Ha ha. Maybe now, but PRIMUS was formed in 1984 when they were young.

The audience didn't research the lyrics.  The song was 20 years old when this performance was recorded and the audience was mostly hardcore fans who'd probably been fans since it first came out.  It's a concert staple and a fan favorite.  You can see live performances from the early 90s when they were a lot younger.

If you've ever watched South Park, primus wrote the opening theme for the show

Listening to the studio version might help you. BTW, the crowd understood every word, because they were singing along. Please listen to more Primus.

“Dope gibberish” one of the most accurate and honest first reactions to Primus.. Les Claypool is considered by many to be one of the greatest Bass players ever. The lyrics are never serious and almost always ridiculous in there obscurity. One of the very best live shows I’ve ever seen.

The lyrics are a story told in the perspective of a cat, who was a a bit of a stud when he was younger.

Primus is just pure funky weirdness. Hard to classify this genre. Avant-garde experimental funk-rock?

You have to put into consideration that hes been performing this for well over 30 years. FANS know the lyrics.

Les Claypool is a BASS GOD.

I met les when I was working at a golf course when i was a teenager. He left the hitting range when it started to drizzle. I happened to have my frettless bass in my truck because I was going out of town. He waited in the rain for me to run and grab it, then he autographed it. My childhood hero jammed on my instrument in the rain for just me.

Primus is a genre all of their own.  My Name is Mud, Shake Hands with Beef, and Wynona's Big Brown Beaver all are great... and weird.

he is known for doing lyrics super fast. You'd probably need to find the lyrics to follow what he is saying. You should check Winona's Big Brown Beaver and My Name Is Mud

Les claypool ( the bassist) is an extremely talented and influential person. you got to watch a lot more Primus to even begin to understand young lady

KPOP fan reacts to Primus .     Yep,  That's about the reaction I was expecting lol........  This was funny and adorable .

SO MISS GIDDY LES IS PROBABLY ONE OF THEGREATEST  BASS PLAYERS IN THE WORLD

They wrote that song in 1984. Its been recorded on 3 albums. 2 live versions and one in studio. Primus is a very popular underground cult band.

Primus needs to come with a WARNING sign, cuz there stuff generally seems to just come from outer space.
