God these people are dumb...
"Why aren't our radios working through hundreds of meters of rock???"
"We know we're being followed by a monster but let's keep shouting just to make it easier for it to find us."
"We don't need spare lights (or waterproof ones).  Let's just bring one per person."
"We're going to rescue someone who's been in the cave for days, let's not bring any food or water with us."

4:45 geez one person gets lost in a cave and you can't even appreciate the beauty of a cave.

Personally, I don't think Margaret planned to do anything with them. I think she was just a pretentious narcissist who couldn't bear to admit she wasn't qualified for something. She did lead them the right way for a while, but as soon as something disturbed her initial plan, she got shaken, and when panic settled in, she got them lost.

And as to what happened to her, to me, it's pretty obvious. From the last sequence with the creature, we can safely assume the crystals never existed but were a mesmerizing illusion created by the creatures to tempt people. And when people fell for the temptation, the creatures would take them. The group got out cause they managed to resist the temptation, one way or another, but Margaret didn't. It's actually nice that the author reminds the reader of the earlier conversation between Margaret and Gazza. It solves the mystery of her last words.

Also, the moment at the end, where Darcy reveals the creature has been stalking them and is right above their heads, gave me a chill. Nice one!

Just wish that the red herring at the end, suggesting Margaret was scheming, was replaced with revealing what the creatures said to Jamie instead of killing him.

I like the character btw, I ended up rooting for all of them. I hoped Gazza would make it despite the fact that he was a jerk, and felt sorry for Margaret in the end.

Honestly, it's not the best story, it could have been better, but it was still entertaining with a creative concept in this community filled with pale humanoid figures, lists of rules and one dimensional characters.

Good job! :)

The first mistake was letting Margaret lead a team of untrained volunteers. If you used untrained volunteers they would be travelling with one of the trained Search And Rescue folks. Without proper gear no SAR team would let them go beyond the tourist lights.

"Team Leader" Margaret spends much of the story saying "stupid boy" and complaining about everybody's lack of preparation, all the while not being prepared.

Honestly I love how this story merges horror and greed. How the monsters are just cave dwelling creatures that have bioluminescent protrusions that lure humans away. It makes sense but is also so terrifying to think about

honestly this story made me mad from the very first minute! - a search and rescue team is one thing, but one searching a cave system with no rope, no extra batteries and no extra flashlights, all being the most BASIC items is ridiculous.

Slight nit-pick: you can die from a fall of 3 meters. If you land on your head, you can break your neck from a fall as small as 1 meter.

This story was actually a good premise for a movie

17:50

My cat yelled back at me at me when I shouted
"SWIM IN STILL WATER???"
XD

Tune in next week for "A Skinwalker Wanted Financial Advice. I Sent Them To Caleb Hammer."

42:50 it’s the giant Arkenstone from which the small one in the movie was born.

Like a reptile cave version of an angler fish

Margaret was definitely gonna feed them to the creatures.

We need more cryptid stories!

Great new direction of the channel and the stories! Can't wait for more😊.

Yes! I was waiting for this!

This was good , I loved how the crystals were implied to be lures. But maybe more context why the little girl went in. More clear on why teenagers were a search group ? But it was v good

I was thanking kokodo dragon with   gems as its toungue

Great idea to bring a bunch of inexperienced teenagers cave diving into a cavw to find a missing person.
