Baldur's Gate 3 is one of my all time favorite games, and like I've done in the past with Elden Ring, I want today to dive deeper into the lore/characters of the game by discussing the 7 Deadly Sins, and how they can be compared to the 7 Origin Characters of Baldur's Gate 3. Let me know if you guys agree with the comparisons I've made, or if you would make any changes!

Durge doesn't murder out of some deep seeded anger or jealousy, it's desire, Bhaalspawn are addicted to murder and take immense pleasure in it. Then showing chastity by foregoing the love of killing to show kindness and empathy to those they care about.
Whereas Astarion's desire for power stemmed from two centuries of pent up rage, a need for revenge, to do unto Cazador and his lackies the torment forced upon him. He takes this so far as to almost murder a fellow "sibling" just to get some info about Cazador, and then gets angry when you try to persuade him to calm down and let go of his past. As you get close to him you see that he doesn't actually want this power, he just doesn't want to feel the weakness that being an abuse victim made him feel. Taking the time to come to terms with that trauma and eventually let go requires great patience.
