Nut King Call is one of the best stands that accurately reflects the user. His stand could unironically be as strong as Sticky Fingers if he applied himself, but he only uses his stand in the easiest way for his own benefit. He’s a dude born with many advantages, but coasts on his birthright rather than making something for himself.
it's crazy how joshu is still referred to as the "jobro" of jojoljon. the obvious answer would be yasuho, but because she's also the love Interest some might say she's not a jobro (josis?). then pick ANY other character!! it can be Rai, it can be TSURUGI, even NORISUKE is more qualifiable as a jobro. i think at the beginning of the series josuke and joshu had 1 arc together and because of that they got referred to as jobros
I know calling people redditors isn't a unique insult, but Joshu is literally what would happen if a redditor got isekai'd into JoJo. Like I 100% see him being the kind of guy to answer somebodys tame question post with some "the answer is so obvious everybody already knows this except you" energy.
i appreciate how araki put all his effort into making the most annoying character ever with almost no positive sides with the only role of being a loser. i love that
I love Joshu as a character. He’s a deeply selfconscious, narcissistic, and selfish person who doesn’t change by the end of the series, but he is put on the path toward growth through loss. He commits selfish actions and has a toxic obsession with Yasuho it is only at the end that he finally realizes his wrongs and becomes capable of changing. Still, he possesses some morals, especially regarding his family. For instance, when he attacks his mother, it is because from his perspective, a woman he believes killed a child and hid the body has just broken into his home. Seeing her as a threat to his family, he tries to make her uncomfortable and force her to leave in his own stupid way. I found myself sympathizing with how pathetic he is as a person, and I think his character was handled well. Nobody at the end of JoJolion had their arc neatly wrapped up in a bow; you just have to hope the tragic events that affected this family will allow them all to change. You’ll find a lot of Joshus in your life people who are selfish and put down others. However, if they decide to confront themselves, they can eventually improve, even if it takes time to break away from the unhealthy habits and toxic treatment of others they are stuck in.
I'm hard pressed to even refer to Joshu as a Jobro cause at no point in part 8 is he friendly with Josuke or tries to help him. You could argue the wonder of u arc but that was for his own selfish benefit and not in relation with Josuke at all
I think Joshu is a great character, hes an asshole from the beginning till the end. He had two opportinities to do something good and then he just doesnt. Milagro Man was supposed to be his character development arc, but he didnt develop and he didnt learn any "lesson" and even in the final fight he couldve had a heroic moment, but he pulls another asshole move and then he cries like the loser he is. Its honestly impressive how consistent he is in doing the worst possible thing he could do at that moment. All of this makes him one of the most unique and honestly realistic characters (when was the last time a character failed every single "redemption arc" that was thrown at them lol). Especially considering that he is neither minor antagonist or rival, and is supposed to be on the "good guys" side.
Also I wouldnt consider Joshu a jobro, those would be Yasuho and later also Rai.
