Sketchy Climb! Pushing the Ford Transit to its limits on a 12,600 foot mountain ascent.

Ready.Set.Van.

Ben spends a night at 12,500 feet in the San Juan Mountains above Silverton, Colorado, then gives a full tour of our Transit test platform van, inside and out. We built it to try new products, new processes, and the Transit itself. Now that testing is done, this exact van is for sale.

This is EXACTLY why I want a class B, to stay inside amazing scenery. I plan to add a light motorcycle to the back for more exploration

nice build. i would say that less than 1% of the population would need a van like this.

I have a 2023 Ford Transit and I love it. I also have a lot off the Flatline products.

Standing in front of a mined out Swiss cheese remnant of a mountain worried about a campfire being too intrusive on this "delicate scenery" is a Wild statement. Have caution around quarry ponds for they could be highly polluted with chemicals and such.

I think the limits of that van are higher than you think, definitely higher than that tame little trail. Nice maneuvering job on the shelf roads though!

Just need a little more clearance and a little bigger tires.

Great video Ben! I just toured the San Juan's (Silverton, Ouray, Lake City, Animas) in our Transit. The Ecoboost makes it easy, and fun. Kudos to you for that drive! The roads through the San Juan's are not for the faint of heart. Incredible place.Your Transit is beautiful, every detail, I want it. How much does it weigh?

Love the solid surface countertop.

Love the new countertop and good decision to not have a built in induction cook top. Keeps everything clean looking.

Dang...that was epic in a van. Pretty good driving for a guy from New Jersey 🙂

The solid surface countertop is beautiful. As much as I love the look and function of a butcher block countertop, especially walnut. The solid surface works for some. Nice alternative. 💙 Beautiful van. I love that the toilet is removable from the shower, so convenient! Ben’s team does beautiful work! That climb at the beginning wasn’t sketchy at all……

I wonder how feasible it would be to have rear steering in these vans. The rear wouldn't need to steer a whole lot to give a much tighter turning radius. Would help with those tighter switch backs.
