~ Giani Sant Singh Ji Maskeen ~
The sun and the moon are symbols of the search for spiritual life. Knowledge is the sun, love is the moon. Without knowledge, there is no understanding and without love, there is no understanding. If the sun and the moon do not rise in the outside world, then the whole world should be considered to be finished. Spiritual death of a person occurs when life becomes empty of knowledge and love. The sun and the moon outside appear according to the natural law. But inside, they have to manifest themselves - life is spent without knowledge and love.

The moon and the sun are not the only ones who have such knowledge inside the house.

The pure stream of love that has risen washes away all the dirt of life. Knowledge can be given and taken, but not love, it is manifested.

Knowledge is the eye, love is the foot. To see a distant destination, eyes are needed, but to reach it, feet are also needed.

Guru Gobind Singh Ji God has accepted that God is the form of love. That form of love is found only through love.
