My wife passed away two years ago and this song made it’s way onto my playlist I would listen to everyday walking. Mary, your version brought tears to my eyes. Thank you.

No flashing lights, no pyrotechnics, no warbling autotune, no miming, no revealing costumes, no dancers, no special effects - simply a great vocalist and a great guitarist in a natural setting giving a superb performance. Applause! 👏👏👏👏

Thanks for having me Mary! Had a great time recording this.
What shall we do next?! 👀😂

This is by far the most beautiful version I ever heard. Love it, thank you both!

Mary, i know you are a singer songwriter but I  wish you would do an LP or even EP of Dire Straits covers you sing them so well with your own spin on them.

First off, AMAZING guitar playing!! And Mary is idiosyncratic, perplexing and captivating. She changes the beat, her intonation, even her accent, repeats lines over and over and it all WORKS. I don't know what I've stumbled across on YouTube, but I have to say that I like it!

Mary Spender, world class singer, Nathaniel Murphy, world class guitarist. ❤

Big fan of both of them, musically.

I don't have words for it.  Her voice interprets a song at depths impossible to reach.

Wow!! Beautiful rendition of  one my favorite songs!!

Mark is such a genius. Words and music that can’t be beat. Well done.

Her bluesy voice gives depth and warmth to this epic song!!

Mary's husky voice just works perfectly in this song.  She's one of the few women who can pull it off.  That was an amazing performance -- both guitar and singer!  Loved it!!

Nathaniel is phenomenal!

Mary does one of the best Dire Straits covers on this planet period

So glad to see people still appreciate Dire Straits. They were one of a kind. I grew up listening to them and I'm 48 now so for me that's almost 45 years of being a Dire Straits fan.
I don't even listen to them much anymore but can't stop thinking about them for some reason. I guess they're deeply ingrained in me, I was into them before I was old enough for Kindergarten.

The genius of Mr. Knopfler beautifully covered by Mary and Nathaniel.
Thank you so much.

Broken strings (&) broken hearts... love in fall, love in the spring, love in the end... of all time... whenever.

Danke
