Great pulley! I collect them!

I just found some of those expansive bits. Didn’t know what they were!

I’d like to know what is a safe method to highlight makers mark without damaging the metal? Can I use a bit of WD40?

Matt, when you start completing sets and matching.  You'll endup with tomuch. But 10 points for preservation. Mike

Really appreciate this video and your channel. I restore tools as well here in NJ. I just re-watched this one as you highlighted a hex socket. I recently bought a New Britain None Better set, did some research, and saw that like most hex sockets from the 20' and 30's it is, unfortunately, cadmium plated. While I have buffed out these sockets before using a mask I'm seeing more and more advisories about abrading any cadmium surface no matter what. I was wondering how you handle restoring the surfaces of these cadmium plated tools or if you just leave them as is. It's a shame because most of the sockets are really dark and toned when you get them, stay that way after Evaporust or similar home made de-rusters, and yet they shine up nicely when buffed if you want to risk potentially severe health risks. The 1939 None Better catalog boasts that they are cadmium plated so I am fairly sure they are as are most other brands made before the change over to Chrome. You can get chemical indicators and test them, but the solutions are very expensive and pose hazardous risks themselves, albeit not nearly as bad as cadmium dust you breathe. So just wondering what you choose to do with these. BTW, I think you once mentioned you are in Lititz, which is one of our most favorite towns. We go there all the time! What a great place. Thanks again.

Duro and indestro my dad had both .

Agree with you on the North Brother's Yankee on donor parts. Even up to a couple of years ago I could find sets of Yankee drill bits at Ace Hardware.

Stanley aluminum planes  They plane and stain all in one easy motion!

Отличный инструмент! Но больше уважения за знание его классификации и периодизации!

Great  haul.  Channel  lock hammer head. Congratulations 😊❤❤❤

Great haul Matt, guess that's enough work for 2026! Really like the pulley block, seen some on Marketplace but never taken the plunge......yet!

Awesome Finds

Good show Matt.
You’ve got your work cut out for you. 👍

I thougt for sure I had subscribed to you, but the button needed to be clicked...so I did. Great haul! And I applaud you for the Johnson's score!

Really appreciate your positivity and how you see value and appreciate every tool. I find myself being dismissive of some of these tools but I am inspired to go back and restore some of these tools I have dismissed in disregard. Thank you.

Fantastic tool haul. I don't know much about planes, and I never heard of aluminum bodied planes. I hope you restore this rare item. I think they would be as useful as a steel plane. You would just have to be more careful with it. The Mossberg sockets are a great find. When I was learning about vintage tools and saw a picture of the "sheet metal" sockets, I assumed they were meant to be an entry level, cheap set. In fact, they are very durable, tough tools and will really hold up. I have an incomplete set. The wooden box will clean up well with your mineral oil and steel wool method. I think you can find exact size brass hinges for the lid at your hardware store. All your socket tools aee very cool, and I liked everything about the Craftsman tool box contents, because I grew up with that brand. Your  explanations are also very useful.

Great tool haul love it

The first word out of my mouth when I started the video was, WOW!!!  I agree with you on both of your picks.  Very cool.  Thanks for sharing!  👍👍👍

Very cool haul. That mossberg set is my fav. Can't wait to see them cleaned up

Holy Cow Matt, you got some great stuff and enough to keep you busy for months!  Love that Bailey 5-1/2 and many other items.  Enjoyed the video.
