I was the top seller in my region at Amazon in Germany, working in a language that wasn't my own. And one day they sat me down and told me my role wasn't needed. Being the best in the region there, something that had taken me years to achieve, was absolutely useless.
For years I said I adapt very quickly. I said it in interviews, I said it at dinners, I put it on my resume. This year, back in Argentina, I realized that adapting quickly was never really my thing: it was a place I was standing in without even knowing I was there.
