Ain't nobody got time for that

Should make video about wire strippers that work

8 mins to join two wires? I'd be fired from my job if i did that.

Nice for art & craft, or using a similar method to join cables to carry weights instead of for serious electrical wiring work.

That was the longest time I’ve seen anyone take to make a splice.

I would use shrink tubing instead of tape.

Did the title read “…quick and safe”? Are you kidding me!

Mannnnnn....the struggle to strip those wires is real.

I have never seen an electrician do all of this to connect wires,I do it the old way works fine to me

Interesante método, la soldadura está fría

An easier and quicker method is to just shift the copper braids into each other straight forward and then solder it. Don't use such hardened Flux, just buy the round yellow flux which has a jam-like consistency and dissolves easily in heat. And don't forget before you start to put shrink tube on one side, then after the soldering and cool-down move it over the soldered part and use hot air 100° to shrink it. And don't use fire in conjunction with copper, it will oxidyze it and you will lose the capacity of transporting current this way. Always use hot air instead of fire. And yeah, one more, if you are soldering, the solder should be on one side of the copper, the soldering iron on the other. Never on the same side.

Anything but quick!!!

That's the driest solder joint ive ever seen you would rarely use a splice like that on such a large gauge of wire and you would tin it 1st to avoid strands separating

Wow, and why will this be a good thing to do? Is this method going to be on a gallery for display?

Thanks.Iam from Sudan.

very similar to the Western Union Splice I learned back in the 80’s in High school Electricity class, you just dont split the wire in half, which you cant do with solid wire anyway, very strong splice, but most applications that would be extreme over kill. it is also a clean splice, so it makes your work look good.

No tempo que estais fazendo essa emenda eu já tinha emendado vários fios. Eu não vou precisar esticar o fio a ponto de parti-lo.
