The line in rondo was specifically "Duke inferno is dead, he and his children won't be attending." Only Duke is dead, the kids are still alive. Constance is the next playable character dropping next patch
Kafka is not the "all knowing" one, Elio is their leader and can see the future, he has given the stellaron hunters scripts for them to follow, that's why kafka is like that, she's basically just aura farming. while silver wolf, blade and firefly just follow the script without being weird
About Herta: she overcame time and space literally, not just by using her puppets. First of all, Screwllum let us know her de-aging method isn't some youth elixir, but Herta literally manipulated energy/entropy to reverse time on her body (Herta is primarily a physicist, judging by her solving Solitary Wave Problem as the first achievement in childhood, so it made sense she used physics instead of chemistry or biology). Secondly, Herta already mastered the path of Remembrance to a level of Emanator, she can use her mirrors as portals and she can turned her body incorporeal in the mirror. You can see in Herta's trailer, she used mirrors to dodge the puppets, and redirect their attacks towards each other, keeping herself safe.
It's kind of crazy how smart Glonk is, remembering information and connecting ideas. I especially like his breakdown of the Ifrit of Everflame mansion section.
9:58 Akivili is actually the name of the "Aeon of trailblaze" and it's sort of hinted here that the Trailblazer or us, is Akivili's sort of reincarnation, or the new embodiment of the path of the Trailblaze.
the thing with yaoshi, and every of the Aeons is they embody their path to the extreme. Yaoshi's abundance is not the life-giving, nurturing type, but the relentless, wild, and cruel side of nature. her whole purpose is to save life in ANY way possible
2:03:58 this is basically a what if,is different time lines if the Astral Expres choose not go to amphoreus after penaconys story meaning that even after all amphoreus tragedy it could end up even worst in terms of the end of the universe where each time line is a kind of finality
It's wild looking at the later Amphoreus Myriad trailers with no context.
I don't blame you for having no clue on what's happening since since these trailers are really clarifying what the overall story of Star Rail is and they assume you know a ton of details about the Factions and Aeons and what their goals are.
The end of Amphoreus was a lot of pay off for 2 years of setup with "background" storylines now being at the forefront.
The power system of HSR is basically as follows: Aeons are the embodiments of ideals and/or concepts. They ascended to Aeonhood through following their ideal so strictly they become physically incapable of ever contradicting their path. The ascension of an Aeon results in latent Imaginary Energy to be converted into Path Energy which is something anyone can use or wield with strong enough desire/willpower/determination. Those who follow a path are known as "Pathstriders". Theoretically their power is limitless and only capped by their own Willpower or Desires, but when they achieve a certain level of power they often stay from the actual path and end up simply using their own power. An example would be Firefly during her Myriad Celestia trailer where her desire to live was so strong that she survived Scorched Earth Operations, Blew up a planet, decimated a large chunk of the Swarm, and fought off Entropy Loss for hundreds of years while drifting in the vacuum of space. Nanook wasn't even an Aeon yet, the path of Destruction hadn't been realized, yet through extreme desires and willpower, Firefly was capable of performing Emanator level feats of strength and durability.
Speaking of, Emanators are individuals who are granted power directly from an Aeon. Basically pure path energy. This could happen because of a direct action taken by the Aeon (Mourning Actors and the Masked Fools) the acquisition of an Aeonic Artifact (Feixiao's Lux Arrow, the Cornerstones), or by extreme circumstances knowingly or unknowingly (Acheron). They basically get a massive boost of power for free. No willpower or desires needed.
If an Aeon dies, their path still remains, it just won't grow. Meaning Pathstriders or even Emanators of dead paths exist such as Argenti and Dan Heng (although we learned that Long the Permanence is chilling in HI3rd for some reason and isn't dead, just missing).
