So many “what if’s”. Such a senseless, tragic event. She is still missed almost thirty years later

29 years this month, and every time I watch something like this, even today, a tiny part of me thinks “maybe she survives in this one.” I know how ridiculous it sounds, and I know that history can’t be changed…it doesn’t last long, just a fleeting moment….maybe this is the one. It never is.

I was 17 years old on Aug. 31st 1997. I walked up the stairs to get into my car to go meet friends at an apartment 10 minutes away — I was happy, I looked good, I had 17 year old, Sunday night, last weekend before I start my senior year of high school energy. And my mom said “oh no, honey…she didn’t make it.” Exactly 1 year earlier, in August 1996, my family stood at those gates on our first trip London together & while every girl my age was hoping to catch a glimpse of William, I wanted to see his mom. Every day she reminds me that real power, and authentic meaning doesn’t come from being perfect, or having the right coping skills, or even with being rich. She wasn’t perfect. She was prone to jealousy, she didn’t know how to navigate pain, she didn’t know how to ask for help, and she didn’t feel like a princess every day. But, she wanted to help. She wanted to be good, to do good, to make meaningful connections, and to make the world better because she was in it. So she did. I don’t know a better way to live. ❤

I will never forget hearing the horrible news of Princess Diana's death. I can't believe it's been almost 30 years. She was such a beautiful soul. RIP to the peoples Princess 😢

Diana just wanted to be loved  and love someone who had her back.💔

"This is going to produce grief on a scale we've never seen". That was an understatement. It's still prevalent today. 💔

She never made it to intensive care... they kept her at the site for way too long then the ambulance crawled at a snails pace.  They gave her absolutely no chance of survival

Diana could have survived if she had received the intensive care she so desperately needed. 😔 She was still alive, but two hours was simply too late. The definition of tragic.

I remember that yr Micheal Hutchins died then princess Diana, then mother Teresa.I cried so many tears when I heard she had died.she would be 65 now,she would still be beautiful

Too sad of a precious woman who was never really treated like a princess. 😭😭😭😭

Today is the day. Every year on August 31st I watch something about Princess Diana. She passed away on my 18th birthday. Now I'm 10 years older than she was at her death. Rest in peace Diana.

I think there are certain moments in history that if you're alive you will remember exactly where you were at & what you were doing.. I remember this day &  9/11..  Both extremely sad days💔💔

The paparazzi are grotesque for many reasons, but they cannot make a person speed, drive drunk, ignore seatbelts.

I always tell my friends, when you're travelling, be careful of which crowd you''re hanging out with. Why they are still going out that evening defies belief.

Such a tragedy that this happened to her, gone too soon...I live here in America, WE ALL MISS HER HERE...I PRAY THAT SHE WILL BE IN HEAVEN WHEN MY TIME COMES, SO THAT I CAN MEET HER THERE....❤

Beautifully put together, a fitting tribute for a truly beautiful woman.

When princess Diana married I was a new college student in my 18 in Shanghai…I specially woke up early that morning to watch the TV news for the update on her injury. As a new single mother myself in a new country in U.S., still following  Diana’s life events, I had very little little idea that she would be passing…The world seemed never would be the same again.i had such feelings 3 times in my life, other 2 were 9/11 and my father’s unexpected passing.

Very well done documentary. Incredibly sad ending

This video gives a good timeline of events — showing where she spent time during the last two months before her tragic, untimely death.

I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when the breaking news hit. She was just shy of one year older than me. IMO she was one of the most beautiful people inside and out that the world has seen.

What a absolutely horrible way to try to live........rest in peace sweet lady🪻💐
