Why hasn't Tommy been interviewed like this before? Interviews like this is what sets it apart from the others. It was clear, direct,no talking over one another, respectful and honest. Well done.

Another incredible interview Kenny.  Spent many nights of my youth watching Tommy and his dad race Modifieds throughout New England, so many great memories.  Not only was it a great interview but how cool is that coupe.  Love the MODIFIEDS.  Good luck in the future gentlemen, see you at the track....

Watched Nascar for years, remember Tommy's name now, looked him up after watching DBC last night.   Another great interview by a great human with a great human!

Door Bumper Clear is my favorite show on the internet and Tommy Baldwin is a big reason for that. My Dad raced at Wall Stadium in New Jersey in the early 70's when I was a little kid. I would bet there were nights that his path would have crossed paths with the Baldwin crew. We moved from NJ to Western PA around 1976 and my Dad stopped driving, but we would go back to visit relatives practically every summer in the 80's. I still remember growing up and hearing names like Gil Hearne, Tony Siscone, the Truexes, Jamie Tomaino, Doug Wolcott,... Those names will always be part of my childhood.

I remember Tommy from years ago when listening to races on the radio. Tells it like it is and can back it up if need be.

Fabulous interview! I learned a lot about Tommy that I never knew. I admire Tommy’s passion for the sport and his family. Wishing both of his sons much success in their racing careers.

Tommy was an amazing Crew Chief in the Cup Series and he built his Cup Team brick by brick and the most impressive moment when Tommy started a Cup Team was when after 30 days the team made the Daytona 500 and the year after that they made it again with Wave Energy Drink. I am proud what Tommy is doing now with his sons.

Great interview Kenny ! Tommy is a BAD ASS!

Damn Great Interview! Tommy Balwin is a Bad Ass! Being from upstate New York have to love the line of northeast racer blood to the south. They made it to Oswego in the 80's. We had the Great Richie Evans, Geoff Bodine, Steve Parks, so Many great talents up here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Enjoyed my time with Junie and Tommy. He has a knack for shot calling and he knows when to take a gamble .

I like Tommy. He knows what he's doin', and tells it to you straight. He's probably forgot more than a lot of the current Crew Chiefs and Competition Directors know. I really enjoy watching him on DBC. Thanks for having him on Herman!

Can’t wait to get this watch finished later
Thank you both!

Ray is a legend.  Love he restore that

Fantastic show! So much respect for TB !!!

Great show. Gotta go check out more stuff on him. Thanks!

Always a pleasure to hear from Tommy. HIs family is Modified family legacy. I might know a bit as I am also a Mod Brat. That is what we called ourselves as kids traveling 4 nights a week all over the east coast. So happy for the legacy, of the perfect race car, The Mighty Modifieds.
Our family with Dad raced since 1957. Brookline NH, Westboro, The Pines... and we all ended up in Race City North Carolina.. My modified pride is egotistical, but damn we damn earned it.  The travels to Martinsville, Trenton, and Pocono, Daytona for the roadcourse, doing homework in the camper, and pissing off the school board. We paid the dues and lost some family, Freddy, Richie, Charlie, Teddy. We made this incredible first Nascar seies into all of it. PLEASE use your influence to bring Nascar Modified teams a decent purse!! We were first, do not let nascar forget  all our talents we brought to the big 3... We all came down in 1981, Dad first with Birdie and that 47 team. Of course Bob Johnson sticks a nose in, and they tolerated him, because he wins. Dad was crew chief in the Stacy days, 82, 83, after Bob Johnson got mad and quit before the Firecraker race, Dad's first time truly in charge. He placed a P3 behind Allison and Waltrip, 1984 Dad goes to Digman Brothers. IMSA. Out of Nascar until Birdie made Dad, lol , come straighten out that Cox car at Volusia after you qualified 16th, Birdie called for an assist. Dad was always there if Birdie asked, and Damn, that day  1991, Volusia Spring 200, Papa Joe Nemechek met Dad ... By 1992, Joe gets a Championship. Off and running until 2000. Not a coincidence. All my blah blah, is to say, GET Modifieds the dollars they desreve!
I Love my Modified family, and so stinking lucky to know the stories.

Great interview.
I remember reading about Tommy’s dad every week in the Gater Racing News when I was a kid growing up.

Others who took a shot in the south during that time: Mike McLaughlin, Randy LaJoie, and Ricky Craven.

Tommy freaking bad ass Baldwin.  Good lord we need a couple more dozen of him.

I loved it when Tommy & his crew visited the #20 crew during a race.
