Puglia vs Sicily - honestly one of the most common questions we get asked and we absolutely loved sitting down and having this conversation! 🇮🇹

We have so much love for both of these regions and having spent 18 days in Sicily and 19 days in Puglia we feel like we can speak honestly about both.

Puglia vs Sicily, a tough choice but to be fair I’ve only been in Sicily and loved it, love the sceneries, people being so friendly and i also used only public transportations which was for most part doable at the exception of a few places where i took the bus, for example from Palermo to Trapani, and to Catania, otherwise i took the trains to visit pretty much most of the places i needed to see. As for Puglia, i’m planning the trip, kind of last minute inspired a lot by your itinerary and having watched all your videos so I’ll have to give you my response on these choices and i believe i might be on Jim’s side to choose Sicily! Thank you again for that video! Funny enough I’ll thinking about it lately i the hope that I’ll enjoy Puglia as much as i did in Sicily. The difference is that i went to Sicily in October and Puglia will be in end of Spring! 2 different seasons together! Cheers🥂🙏🌺

You can’t compare August and November. Very very different. I am sicilian and i think november is perfect going to Sicily.

This was SUCH a great video guys! We watched with great intent as we are deciding where to go in Italy in November. We really loved the candid conversation you were having while filming (even though Chris wasn't sure if she was being filmed at times😂). This was a really in-depth analysis, so thank you! Your lengthy visit and coverage of the areas while you were in each region really gave you some great insight!! Now guess where we chose!?! LOL. Cheers guys!! 🥂

We just visited Italy and were talking about how getting out of the city (Milan and Rome) would be nice. Thanks for both your extremely helpful information and convincing reasons to return and visit Puglia and Sicily!

Italians are on vacation during August, and many places are closed, so not as busy. Difficult to compare a region of Italy with the island of Sicily. Especially when you are visiting during different periods. It also depends where you go. Taormina in Sicily is very expensive. Ortigia is also expensive. Cefalu isn't cheap. But overall, Sicily is like a different country. It is incomparable.

Thanks guys. I have watched all of your videos for Puglia and Sicily and they've been so helpful for my planning. We went to Puglia last fall and loved it. Now I'm in the process of planning for a September visit to Sicily. I'm even more excited after watching this.

I love your videos! We went to Puglia and loved it there, the Focaccia in Bari omg I can eat it every day!! We head to Sicily in Feb, also off season, but iI hope not too cold and rainy. You need to go to Croatia if you haven't been.

Accommodation prices vary significantly by season in both Puglia and Sicily. I think it’s best to decide what your vacation goals are and then choose one or two locations and spend more time in each. To me it takes a week, even in a small town to truly explore all that it has to offer, even longer for a city.

Hey there guys! We Are Wheres The Hudsons! We have been enjoying some of your videos! New Subscribers! And we are trying to answer some of the same questions. Polignano a Mare has been our favorite. We didn’t make it to some of the other spots we intended to. But watching your video’s gave us new ideas! Martina Franca! And Ostuni are some that are now on our list!!!! Thank you! We are just in from a trip to Albania. We traveled from Tirana to Sarandë. Over to Gjirokaster. Then Vlorë. And then over to Shkodër. Then to Italy. Milan to Rome. And then Genoa. And then ventured out. Did some hiking in Cinque Terre. Give us a hello if you get this!

I did both last year. Sicily for the win. Both are fantastic but travelling with my daughter Sicily was just a bit more FUN.

Puglia vs Sicily, we've spent time in both and Puglia all the way! So much so, we bought our retirement home in Salento, Puglia!

"Are we filming right now?" lol, gotta love that part! I've been looking at both areas and it does seem to be a tough choice. They both look amazing and I've been leaning towards Sicily...but now Puglia is starting to interest me a lot. I guess we'll have to do both, but not in two weeks :)

I have settled in Sicily (8 years so far) and have no regrets. I have travelled in Puglia, Basilicata and Calabria, and love them all. I would live in Lecce if I left Sicily. Direct land transport is far better to Lecce (or Bari, or Reggio di Calabria). The Messina straits are both a blessing and a curse for Sicily
