To the voicenote girl: don’t spend £2k on a trip you don’t want to go on. ❤️

Not sure if they quite understood that the main issue with the skiing problem was the fact it cost too much money

All I can think about the lady who doesn't want to go skiing - do not marry into that family!

The best friend bit is a little unhinged guys. Ben sounds lovely btw, sounds like the kinda person whod easily slamdunk a best friend position.

no means no - she’s said she doesn’t want to go skiing - if they insist then they can pay and ONLY if they pay should she consider it

Why is it that when I blink, this podcast is over. Book your studio for 1 hour, and make the podcast for at least 45 mins!

Would it be possible to extend Thursday's episode to one hour? Pleeeeeeaaasseeee 😁

Get Ben on the pod and the caller can't AFFORD to go on the holiday. Don't be so dismissive, Rom - hugs and kisses x

Girl skiing... they didnt hear it. Yer broke. If you can set aside the time to go and hang in the cabin and enjoy the views, while partying when they come back then do so. But make them pay. If they refuse then theres an understanding.

I have had 1 hip replacement. I dont fly and a former stepmother wouldnt shutup about it. He had to divorce prior to peace.

Best of luck. Its your hips every fall... not theirs.

Advice to voice note girl: do not back down, tell them very clearly
1.I cannot ski, I've had hip surgery and cannot do it!
2.I can't afford to spend 2k to go on a holiday where I can't even take part
3. You wasted your time buying me lessons, I CANNOT SKI, I'VE HAD DOUBLE HIP SURGERY!

Mawaan Rizwan's song "Never Been Skiing" really encapsulates the attitude Romesh is talking about here. I totally agree, even if well intentioned it's alienating when privileged people treat their experiences as universal
