Did you play Budokai on the GameCube or PS2?

The best music in any DBZ game and it doesn't even come close

Older games just had a charm that are extremely hard to replicate

"From the good" shows Tenkaichi 2
I give the biggest warm smile ever, for I know that it is the best tenkaichi

Man real ones know this felt so big at the time cuz it was the first real DBZ game released in North America, some of us had that Japanese chip to plug in the ps1 n we had access to games like DBZ Legends but this was the first ever American dbz release, kids today don’t even know what’s world without DBZ video games feel like

That Raditz mission…

Fun fact about why cells voice stays the same in battle, is because the Japanese voice for cell stays the same through all 3 transformations, and was originally coded to reflect that. When they localized for english speaking countries, it would have been way too much work to change the coding so now we get Perfect Cell sounding like this lol

To this day, I have never been as angry as I was having to face Cell as a kid. That battle is damn near a Fromsoft boss fight

Every time I tried to remember my childhood, the memories ended at Budokai.

My first day of school? Budokai.

My tenth birthday? Budokai.

My grandmother's funeral? Budokai.

Not the real events—just menus, character select screens, and the sound of punches echoing through empty speakers.

I asked my mother if she remembered any of it.

She looked confused.

"Remember what?" she asked.

"My childhood."

She blinked.

"You mean Budokai?"

I’m mad that no other Dragon Ball game have this art style.

My first ever video game, I think I was 5 when it was released. Peak memory

The First DBZ game I Ever Played as a kid i was hooked 💯 😅

When I was a kid, I could hardly keep Raditz in a straight line.

This is my favorite DBZ game and I have many memories playing it on the PS2. The Budokai series overall was the best IMO

No other dbz game except tenkaichi 2 has captured the essence of the series with the cutscenes

my father got me this game for christmas when it came out when I was in the 5th grade. I LOVED Dragon ball but there were no good games at the time. I'll never forget the excitement I felt for this. What at time.

This game set a big scale. Best memories in my life are from dbz, friends, staying up all night playing these games was so fun.

Still one of my goats! I love this art style too.

I got this for Christmas when I was 12

I remember when the Kamehameha blast was yellow in the first Budokai game.
