I spent 3 days mining rubies and sapphires at Propst Farm North Carolina with my family, and now you guys get to join us for the adventure! Come hang out for a bit & watch all the rockhounding fun :)

You’ll see how we mine, what we find, the tools we use, ALL the gems at the end, and so much more. This is easily my longest video yet, and quite possibly my favorite. I hope you all enjoy!

Recent move to NC from Southern California, looking forward to checking this place out. I have been to the Ocean View Mine in Pala CA. Mostly Tourmaline there, although you can find clear quartz crystals, Aqua Marine, Kunzite and others from pegmatites. My wife found a nice aqua marine, I found a real clear terminated quartz and a host of tourmaline in host rock that we used in the yard. Nice video thanks..

Have found some flourish baked into the rocks, but only in sparse places from 2 places in the durham creeks.
