The real Bucheimer holster worn by Clint Eastwood had a double spring with a tension screw. The springs were inside the holster and were formed outside of it, then inserted into the leather.The original Buchheimer double spring held the weapon securely and there was no need for a snap button. The single spring does not hold the weapon properly.Bucheimer Clark, LEWIS and BIANCHI made very good double springs which they incorporated, formed after sewing. Thank you for this beautiful video.

Sir, you are a terrific craftsman and exceptional teacher. That holster you show building is the one I have been looking for to carry my SAA colt with the 7 1/2 barrel. Unfortunately I have, so far unable to see one for sale anywhere. My ability to work with leather is, should I say, abysmal. Do you know of any one that is producing those holsters in your design that might have one available for purchase? Thank you

I see you've already got the pattern up on ETSY. I'll be ordering that this evening. At 7:27, you say "3/8" for the pull the dot snaps. Seems like that's a bit... huge. Did you mean "3/16?" I've got those Weaver pull the dot snaps in stock. I use either a 3/16" or a 5/32 for snug fit so it doesn't fall out whilst I'm maneuvering the leather around to set it. Holes look to be 3/16" later in the video when you're setting the snaps.
I'm a disaster with a head knife. I've been using that exacto knife and old carpet method for a few years and it's the business for curved cuts in medium to heavy leather. I'm really looking forward to this build. I have two S&W N frames with 6-1/2" barrels. Definitely a model 29 44 magnum, and it's brother, the model 57 in 41 magnum. Very happy to see you've got a pattern included for the Super Redhawk, though I'll need to shorten it two inches to fit the 7-1/2" models I have.
Very useful that you show the music wire (2:01) you're using with the label. That made ordering the exact type that worked for you quite easy. I've also just bought the pattern pack. I still haven't gotten past printing the Doc Holliday set. Holidays, a bad fall, and other projects already in work. Plus, the rig - as this one - will be initially for me. I've other items in work for our next craft show/sale and hope to have examples of both this and Doc Holiday ready as "models" by then. Thanks for the excellent explanations in your videos.
