As a Japanese person, I didn't grow up reading "Option" magazine, so I never really knew much about the tuning culture, let alone the Kanjozoku—who are usually only shown on mainstream media here as dangerous criminals or nuisances.
Because this culture is so close to home for us, Japanese car media tends to cover it in a sensational or overly dramatic way. We almost never see it documented so thoroughly and objectively as a genuine form of street culture. Of course, we cannot completely condone what they do. However, we all know that there are people on the streets who have no other choice but to live that way, across various subcultures, and I believe society needs those kinds of spaces and margins. This is why your content is incredibly valuable. Thank you as always for your amazing work!

Now here's the Larry Chen content that I love to see.

They didnt "get away" from the cops, they simply stopped chasing him. If the police wanted to actually catch him, they would scramble 50 crowns to block every single exit and wait for them to run out of gas. The police are not really interested aside from making the point that "We`re here, we`re watching and we know who you are and if you crash or hurt someone, we`re coming for you". I have seen this many times here in Japan where the "this far and no further" approach works and both sides of the game respect it. Glad you went with the NGR crew, they are a great bunch of guys, very hard to reach but are very tight and respect those who know how to keep their mouths closed and their cameras off.

The drivers of No Good Racing in Osaka and Kanjo culture in itself will be forever inspiring and intriguing to me. Mad respect for them.
Owned a 95 Civic Coupe as a first car. So much fun! Wasn't crazy built nothing insane, but had it for 10 years and had a blast all of the years.
Memories made, some recorded, some don't for obvious reasons. 😆Still miss it and would have wished I had the means and funds to make it all solid and built it the way I wanted it.
Maybe some day we will meet again, but who knows.💯
