The 'Royal Castle' set appears to have early Airfix models, including Centenary coaches, a G W.R. Hawksworth Castle tender and....a rebuilt L.M S./B.R. 'Royal Scot?' locomotive! (The other 'Royal Castle' set had the correct loco/tender, but no track/controller.) The box illustration is a gem of nearly but not quite! The Geyper set loco body does resemble the box art, and some sets had the tinplate orange skirt illustrated. The rolling stock is all Jouef, junior, series. I believe the track is correct.

So I suspect the train and wagons are French-made by Jouef and the track - could it be German? I think the actual contents of this set would have been plastic track and different wagons and loco. However, I do rather like this as it is. It also means I can get another set with the original contents should I happen across one sometime in the future!
