"Batman doesn't do ships.. AS IN RELATIONSHIPS."

@schaedyn 9 years ago

I like this ship because it explores the fine line between love and hate. They need each other because without each other they wouldn't have a purpose. It's a fascinating psychological thing to research and ponder about while reading the comics, movies, etc.

and then...there's the Telltale games. Where you can explicitly ask Joker if he is in love with you (Bruce) :D

Lego Batman made me ship them.

I love the ship because it makes so much sense to me. It’s obvious how jokers obsession with Batman is naturally romantic and sexual as well. He just can’t get enough of Batman in any way. And Bruce is this dark superhero, often regarded as a criminal as well, who feels conflicted constantly. They also just compliment the other. Serious and humorous, frown and smile, dark and bright

So... What I'm hearing is the joker is a yandere?

@vaugeokay 9 years ago (edited)

What if joker makes a bunch of sexual jokes and some times Batman jokes back angrily. That would be cute

The telltale series is probably the cutest Batjokes version of the ship!

"...so get ready, this is gonna be a long one."
Me, grabbing Popcorn and little Batjokes flags
SO LET IT BEGIN

I really love the version of batjokes when Bruce wants ro rehabilitate Joker; Halfway Across is the best fic that deals with that! I'm so happy the ship is growing stronger now because of the lego batman movie, I love that version so much too :D

Lol, I loved that scene where... (SPOILER ALERT) Batman and Joker fights to death in the love tunnel at the amusement park, surounded by hearts, I'm not sure why, but I do like this ship for what it is... a dark, conflictive, sick relationship. I don't like a relationship like this in real life, don't get me wrong, but I find it really interesting, it's not perfect, bit that's what makes it so intriguing to me.

They’re soulmates, that’s it, they complete each other, they’ll always be together in every time line

I just love batjokes mainly for the fact that you can find at least one flirty line Joker has said to Batman in every universe and it's hilarious. If there's one constant in the batman universe, it's Joker and Batman. With all that time spent together across the many, many universes, it's no wonder that in at least one of them they end up being romantic partners X3

I always dislikes this ship (when shipped in a romantic, not messed up way), until the Telltale game came out. I know he isn't actually Joker yet, but I still 100% want that to be canon.

This ship is so hard but very rewarding when done correctly.

@mountainmoth 9 years ago

Sooooooooo he is a Yandere? Huh.

I have been a Batjoke shipper for years, it was actually my first ship, it brought such a nostalgic smile to my face when you discussed the early years of these two's pairing, when there were few fics or when they were all dominated by the nolan-verse ones. It truly is a sight to behold to be there from the near beginning and seeing this ship blossom and bloom. My favorite ship to this day, and I felt so much giddiness watching this vid, it was like going through memory lane.
