Your last video has been weighing on my mind, Sam. I was driving when I was listening to your story of what you went through recently and I just felt so much compassion for you. I just hope that you’re giving yourself compassion in the learning process. I’m a recovering drug addict with 9 years under my belt and I think back so often to the moments I went too far. How close I came to leaving my 2 daughters without their momma. I’m so disgusted I can barely stand to marinate in the memory for long. I just hope in this instance you’re not feeling this way towards yourself. You’re a great wife, an amazing, cycle breaking mom, a loyal daughter who defines her own boundaries, and a relatable source of entertainment to all of us. Give yourself grace and press on. Much love!

"Hey, honey! Your dad's a perverted creep and sexualizes you when you're in the pool. Please don't swim when he's home because I need to protect his perversity. Him thinking disgusting things about his own child isn't the problem. A child doing a totally normal thing at the family home is the problem." gross. gross. gross. At least she knows not to be around her father anymore.

Parenting shouldn’t be transactional .  Children aren’t objects

That mum telling the daughter in the pool that her father’s comfort is more valuable than hers… it’s women like that mum who enable abusers and ‘never knew’ 🤯

The first woman should have spoke to her daughter directly.  Instead she runs to social media to trash her daughter and make it all about herself.

I hate that ....summer break is for recharging and just being a kid, adulthood comes fast enough and she'll spend 50 years + working !

“I had my cake. Now I’m going to eat yours, too.”

That pool one is extremely concerning. I hope there’s no more children in that house.

I have a message for that first mom.  Hey mama, you're only entitled to or needed at the birth that you pushed a baby out of your body.  Period.
I took care of my parents until the end of their lives because I wanted to, not because they expected me to.  I don't expect my kids to take of me in a few years.  Maybe the life expectancy needs to get shorter again

10:28 bro my stepdad just makes sure I get out of the pool fine and then everything's over. no weird looks, nothing insane, just a caring dad. like come on people BE NORMAL.

Your mom basically threatening to come visit your sister regardless of her wishes is....stalker behavior...Like if your sister had decided no, that would be a crime....

9:37 my husband says from across the room, "what kind of weird ass twisted song is that?" I explained and he was grossed out and said that "man" is a predator

Wedding and baby delivery are actually THE COUPLES DAYS🙄!!! Learn that, and you’ll be just fine

I stopped talking to my mom right at the beginning of my pregnancy because she said "oh my god, I'm having another baby!" Then when I said I only wanted my husband in the delivery room she got really mad and ignored me for a week. I just said f this and stopped talking to her, it was the straw that broke the camels back after years of being her only child who still spoke to her. She messaged me a bit later saying I'm taking this experience away from her. I'm almost 7 months pregnant now and I have no regrets! And I got therapy with my pregnancy insurance so I didn't feel guilty at all and worked through it!

Some parents are control freaks who won’t let their children develop independently into their own person.

The summer school one is a good way to burn your child out, build resentment and let her know that she's never good enough. So if that's what you're going for I guess...

On the note of the mom who sent her daughter to summer school, mom hated me being home bothering her all summer so she sent me to camps (art camp, writing camp, cooking camp, etc.) like a normal mom. Even if you don’t want to spend all your kids break with your kid, at least send them to do something fun

18:31 and that question wasn't even body shaming. I wear leg braces and when little kids ask about them, I don't immediately think they are ablist or something. Just ridiculous

8:22 she didn't want anything for her child, she wanted to spend that cash on herself! So she threw a tantrum

Remember everyone, it wasn't unheard of in the past to be estranged from your parents. People would just move to a new city and change their phone number and not give it to their family. WE DO NOT OWE THEM. This means you can have that boundary WITHOUT GUILT!!!  The reason you feel guilty is because of them, so is it even your emotion? It's programming. Don't feed it and it dies.
