In my 71 years the drag performers I came to know were some of the wittiest, most engaging and creative people I've known.  It makes me happy to think they shaped my openness to alternative lives.  And where would we be if it not for those brave souls who grace us with their unique perspectives.

I went to school in drag a number of times - when I was in the 6th and 7th Grades in the late 1950's.

Those are indeed the courageous artist who knew themselves inside and out, and dared to be their true selves, it's so sad when you know now day's that so many of the people who hate drag queens and Trans people are closeted definitely gay people themselves, hopefully one day wisdom and respect will shine a light into their world

Thank You, very interesting.

Our ancestresses!!!  RIP

Where the transgender movement started...Marlene Dietrich, Greta Garbo, Marilyn Monroe, Babe Ruth...Madonna, and here we are - youth encouraged to chop body parts cut off, etc.  Hollywood has a very perverse idea of men and women.
YT channel Phony Persephone has many videos on transgender folks...

using Ai to distort images & blur authentic triumphs.

Sad  story about Gladys Bentley.  Later in life she "found God" and disavowed her life as drag king. She married and traveled the country explaining  that gay and lesbians were an affront to God

Garbo.

BRILLIANT.  ABSOLUTELY F-ING BRILLIANT
