I landed a job as a chef at a sushi restaurant that just reopened and is selling like crazy. But the dish customers can't stop ordering is a blue meat that nobody can identify.

The Umi Sushi Special is a short narrative horror game by developer PinkYolk that takes about half an hour to finish. You play someone struggling with money who goes back to work at the same sushi restaurant they worked at years ago. The kitchen work seems normal: making maki, temaki and nigiri to order. Until you start to wonder about the dish called the Special.

Personally, I liked this game's story. The character you play has a mind of his own instead of being an empty stand-in, and the ending leaves you with something to think about. To be upfront, the animation is still stiff and the game has almost no music, so the build-up feels a little light. But if you like short, story-driven games, this one is worth your time.

After watching, what do you think of the protagonist's decision? Let me know in the comments.
