This film realistically conveys difficulties experienced by people with ET, from dealing with activities of daily living to decisions regarding treatment options.
The film also portrays Mark Honeyman as an upbeat person of compassion and empathy. And after spending some time with him, I can say that he truly is that person.
Both - the film and the man - are inspirational.

Thank you for this story. I have just been diagnosed with Essential Tremor, though I probably have had it for years, attributing my problems to another condition that runs in my family. I am older, and felt as if part of my life had closed down. It is such a relief to know something can be done to allow me to fully live in my later years. That journey has just begun for me.

I am grateful to have come across this video. I watched my aunt experience tremors when I was in my thirties and beyond. By the time I reached my late forties I began to feel the beginnings of mine. It only happens in my right hand. Writing is something in the past. Eating and applying makeup are doable, but increasingly difficult. I’m wondering if men experience ET worse than women do. My aunt’s tremors were not as “violent” as those of the men I’ve witnessed. In the end her voice was affected. She was two thousand miles away, so I didn’t see the progression of hers otherwise. I’m 76 now and hope my tremors remain as manageable as they have been. I tried Botox injections, but it made life worse. I lost the function of my thumb and forefinger for two months. I miss writing, but I’m grateful for what I have otherwise.

I Love Your Story !! Thank you for sharing !! I started having tremors in 7th grade . I'm 75 now. I spent a lot of time alone, because it was so hard to try not to shake in public. Being a teenager with head tremors caused depression. Very energy draining.

I may have preliminary testing done in Oct. my tremors affect my core, voice and head. I have word difficulty. I can no longer work as a nurse. Stress and heat are my enemies. I have daily fevers and headaches. My skin burns from the inside out. I stay at home most days sewing. It keeps me calm. Thank you for this film.

Spectaculr Mark!! As both a retired teacher and a person with ET, I was so impressed with this production that so eloquently shares your journey. Your dedication to educating your students, recognizing that the profession entails teaching with your heart, resonated with my own 40+ years as an educator. Watching you and your wonderful wife move through the process of decision-making and then following through with DBS showed such well thought out bravery. Perfect timing in my life to find this. Thank you to all who produced this film. ET needs much more attention, the phrase in 2026 "we have no idea what causes it" is simply unacceptable.
