The wonderful Anton Lesser, whose whole portrayal of Bright was a masterclass in restrained poignancy, delivering Prospero’s words so masterfully it brought a lump to my throat and tears to my eyes. Total, complete class. Great drama, sublime finale.

The symbolism of Endeavour leaving and Morse arriving when they pass on the bridge is beautiful

The classiest farewells I have ever seen. Utterly stunning. The best of British drama. Brought tears.

The 2 Morses passing on the bridge and looking at each other in the rear view mirror, well done!

I doubt that I will ever watch a better series than this. In every possible sense.

When Thursday appeared in the montage I heard in my head "Mind how you go".

They even played the theme in the way it was played in the first seasons of Inspector Morse! A perfect ending in every way!

Can’t see any other drama coming anywhere close to this

Anton Lesser, a great actor, a great voice and heart rendering words. I cried.

Endeavour is a Timelesss piece of Art ...Truly magnificent !!!

The classiest ending to any TV drama I’ve seen.  Thank you to all at Carlton.

Nice touch…the old and the new Morse passing each other at the end!

The last episode was the best television I have ever seen. The superlative writing, acting and production will stay long in my memory. The wonderful voices of the veteran actors, Roger Allam and Anton Lesser has been my guilty pleasure for a  long time in audio books and plays. To hear the last speech from the Tempest was such a bonus! As for Shaun Evans....Magnificent! Thank you to all who have worked so hard to deliver such excellence.

what a beautiful way to link a series

It is rare that TV achieves perfection = this is it. Beautiful, moving, an incredible production. I cried and that is how it should be.

I've loved this show from the beginning, and was so pleased with how Russell Lewis ended it all.  Just about perfect.

In the first episode, Ms. Fraisel, played by Abigail Thaw, John Thaw's daughter, says to Endeavour, 'Do I know You?, when he replies in the negative, she says, 'Maybe, in a previous life.' Such a great tribute to the man who set the foundation for the success of the Morse franchise.

there will never be anything like this again. true art. masterpiece

Oh wow - absolutely beautiful ending.  Just perfect.

One of the classiest endings of any TV series ever.
