Texan here. James Talarico is our best bet against the pseudo Christian 7mountains cult that has worked for decades to hijack Texas and now the nation. I say pseudo because it operates out of the old testament theology and Christianity starts with the new testament.  This group brought you Greg Abbott and Ted Cruz and a ton of carpetbagging politicians from all over this country.  I know the red rural counties well. This crew is not doing well there.  Thank you for hosting  our best bet.  This national travesty was started and fine tuned in the lab of Texas and I believe it will fail first here as well.  Keep up the good work!

I'm an atheist but I fully support any theist who supports the same values for humanity as I do. Good, moral people who lead with love and empathy are becoming hard to find these days. This is a person I can support wholeheartedly.  I'm so glad you had this discussion! 😊❤

A normal clear minded intelligent candidate. Good luck to him.

Our next Texas US Senator and former teacher from San Antonio ISD- he is the real deal ! VOTE !

Senator Talarico is the future of the Democratic party.   Articulate, compassionate and just in it for the right reasons

Just became a monthly donor to James’ campaign. I’m not Christian but I know a good man when I see one. And we need more good people in power.

America needs more Jimmy Carter-style Christians in public life. They’re people of decency and goodwill.

This is a gracious beautiful soul. He is a gift to the American people. Let’s get behind him for US Senator from Texas. You really challenged him and he rose to the occasion. I get so much out of your discussions. Thank you Heather.

Mr. Talarico has brought me so much hope this year. I started watching him speak last summer, and his presence on the political stage has helped me stay optimistic in spite of everything going on.

The inner peace and gentleness that eminates from this man  speaks volumes.

I consider myself an atheist but I enjoy listening to James Talarico.

“No gift of Love is wasted “… well spoken♥️🌀

Heather, I am so happy that James Talarico is on your show. I have so much respect for him!

Jimmy Carter was a hero of mine. Separation of church and state is so important. I really like James, find his sensibility refreshing and donate to his campaign from California.

"Love Thy Neighbor" challenge accepted. Thank you, James Talarico 💙

I have been following him for a while!!! He is awesome!!!

We need 300 more Talarico in office

I love the way James talks about Christianity and its place in or around politics.

Fan of both Professor Heather Cox Richardson and future Senator James Talarico. Two wonderful thoughtful people.

Listening to James makes me want to go to church again. I will refrain, but I like him.
