Hello Family!

The fact that this game exists is AMAZING to me. I've played the big box Gloomhaven and Jaws of the Lion (haven't gotten my hands on Frosthaven yet), and I can tell you those are CHUNKY games. Lots of rules, components, pieces, and time needed to play. But here comes this little thing, and it's just as involved as it's big siblings with FAR LESS packed in it! Gloomhaven Buttons & Bugs is a testament to how small games can pack big plays in them, and I'm excited to bring that to all of you. For this video, I will be doing the tutorial scenario 1: A Rude Welcome and going over the basics of how to start up your adventure and how a typical games goes. Yes, things will get more complicated as we go through the Scenario Deck, but that's how Gloomhaven rolls. And it is fantastic!

NOTES for the episode:
1. In the next video, I will be giving a better explanation for Elements. Just know that they infuse into the room IMMEDIATELY at the beginning of the round regardless if the hero or monsters put them there.
2. You DO get disadvantage on Range attacks if you are adjacent to the target. This works both ways, and comes into play in the next video.

Man, the colours of your cards at least on camera look soo much better than the print that I have on my cards. The dials that I have are near impossible to differentiate, still the game is great.

Just a correction, there is indeed disadvantage on rolls ifor ranged if enemy is adjacent to you

I just got this game today and have been playing around with it. I decided to look up some videos to clarify things and I feel like I understand better after watching this. Thanks. Also at 18:45 on page 24 of the rule book “Round abilities from rolled abilities are only active once the monster has taken its turn, but they remain active until the end of the round”

When you dont have any cards left choose short rest und you always win scenario1?

Before watching the video; Ive played the intro scenario two times and "died" from exhaustion both times with one bandit still alive at around 6 hp. I really hope to find that im doing something wrong in terms of rules etc by watching your video, cause I cant see what im doing wrong to not complete it. Ive done it with the Bruiser and the Spellweaver.

The only thing i do not like about the game are the sliders. Other than that this game is 100% gllomhaven but way smaller. I pray that this is not a one off and becomes a running series. It's so good!

I bought mine a couple months ago and the dial colors have apparently changed. Mine are way brighter, no problem telling them apart even with my tired old eyes. I was missing the die and the Spellweaver card though.
