LOVEBITES - Spellbound lyrics & credits:
Once upon a time, there was a girl with beautiful hair
It was a breathtaking beauty, yes even for God
Unforgiving love will make you blind to see calamity
Approaching and already at your feet
Until you're put under a curse
No one comes closer
No one is looking anymore
Even plants, even birds, butterflies, trees and flowers
No longer attractive
Nobody knows what was lost
Even stars, even clouds, the sky and the sun and the moonlight
People don't realize how badly their sins can hurt someone
Should they be forgiven ?
Or have they sinned for eternity ?
Which one has hers ?
One day her beautiful hair turned into demons
Feared by everyone, she's left alone and avoided
Unforgiving sins will bring you closer to your judgement day
Leaving you with nothing left to say
Until you are out of time
No one comes closer
No one is looking anymore
Even plants, even birds, butterflies, trees and flowers
No longer attractive
Nobody knows what was lost
Even stars, even clouds, the sky and the sun and the moonlight
People don't realize how badly their sins can hurt someone
Should they be forgiven ?
Or have they sinned for eternity ?
Which one has hers ?
No one comes closer
No one is looking anymore
Even plants, even birds, butterflies, trees and flowers
No longer attractive
Nobody knows what was lost
Even stars, even clouds, the sky and the sun and the moonlight
No one comes closer
No one is looking anymore
Even plants, even birds, butterflies, trees and flowers
No longer attractive
Nobody know what was lost
Even stars, even clouds, the sky and the sun and the moonlight
In her last moment the blood from her nect came alive
Asking for love and forgiveness
Why have you come, Holy Pegasus ?
God, is she free now ?

Nice double reaction again ! Sassy Asami showing off her R&B background "Dancing with the Devil". For me, this track has a blend of AOR/Chicago blues feel and showcases how diverse this band is. As for "Spellbound", it's a fun song to spotlight Miyako's Keyboard skills

Love so much these two songs. The versatility of these women is amazing. Thanks for your support to this phenomenal band.

Two songs that don’t get a lot of play on YouTube and I absolutely love them! 🤘🏻🤘🏻

I was happy to see that you reacted to this so of course had to watch. The instrument is a Keytar. The left hand is working some controls like the pedals on a pedalboard, to modulate the sound. I'm pretty sure you could give Miyako a washing machine and she'd figure out how to play it.

Asami gets to show off some of her blues & R&B singing in the first track. Love Spellbound, it's such a unique sound for them (the song is about Medusa, btw)!

Pidiendo amor y perdon
¿Por qué has venido, Santo Pegaso?
Dios, ¿está libre ahora?

No necesito escuchar tus lloriqueos

"Dancing With The Devil" is Midori's first song offering to LOVEBITES, lyrics with Asami & music with Mao.
The guitars in this performance are unique with both guitarists participating in the design & construction of these guitars.
Miyako's is a "kit" she chose based on the wood grain, then modified to have "metal sound".
Midori's was part of a 4-campus Guitar Craft Acadmy (a subsidiary of ESP who sponsors Midori).
She helped design & build a guitar at each campus. Two have been used in performance.
This and an "Arrow" (V) used LIVE for "Winds Of Transylvania" with more screams, squeals & dive-bombs than ever!
The list of Miyako's guitars "will fill volumes" (!) I'll just say, a recent show she used 7 different guitars, iirc.
It was 'significant' that for first time she took only one guitar on EU/UK tour and that was her new Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul.
As I understand it, wood grain (of course), lighter wood, slightly thinner body, neck shape to her spec, pickup switch moved from above to tone knob spot.
Miyako has built several "kit" guitars including one with ES335 style body! Not for LOVEBITES, she says( ?) (corrections or additions are welcome &:-)

I always get a straight up Vixen vibe from Dancing with the Devil. Spellbound sounds like a song from a 1980's movie.

Spellboound , 80s vibe song, Miyako playng
that keyboard and keytar, Miyako musical genius !

A great pairing of songs, I love these, the side of LOVEBITES that is neither power or thrash, they show they can do 80's hard rock style as well as anyone ever has. I was entranced with these performances even though I have seen them many times before, and as always there are so many nuances going on here. Thanks for another great double reaction, rock on! 🤘🐺🤘

To me, the keytar is closely associated with jazz and fusion, largely because musicians like Chick Corea and Herbie Hancock made such memorable use of it. While many people think the instrument has faded into history, it is still very much alive. Roland introduced the flagship AX-Edge in 2018, the same model played by MIYAKO, and Yamaha has been offering more affordable shoulder keyboards since 2019.
Also, Miyako was pregnant at the time, so carrying a 5 kg AX-Edge must have been especially tough for her.

I always either like breakdown of one song or better yet the music video followed by the live.

I don’t like to be controlled
You should know by now my baby
I’m pretty much sick and tired of how childish you are
Don’t mess with me anymore
Say what you want, there’s no use in lying to me
It’s written on your face
“I can't live, I can’t live without you”
Look in the mirror, would you
Everything is clearly in my hands
Everything’s exactly how I planned
Everything is under my control
Did you think you were free？
Running ‘round with your collar on
Everything you wanted was a fake
Everything for me is just a game
Everything you see is fantasy
Did you even think that you ever had a chance to win？
Did you expect me to say something like “I miss you, baby”
Just shut up and cut the drama
I don’t need to hear your whining
The choice is not yours, babe
Say what you want, there’s no use in lying to me
It’s written on your face
“I can’t live, I can’t live without you”
