Hartman has Detroit on his No Trade List, so Hartman says no.
They are also undervaluing Yurov. He's basically a young Erickson Ek, give him a couple years and he's going to be a stud in the league. Stramel is still a mystery, also Buchi was incorrect, he used to be offensive before a coaching change and then when he switched schools he picked up again.

Stupid, why would the Wings trade for more bottom 6 players when they are absolutely jam packed with bottom 6 guys? Show up with young talent that have a history of decent production. Just because Minnie wants Larkin, needs him, doesn’t mean Detroit must trade him for a collection of scraps.

Volume almost never works

Minnesota has nothing to trade

The structure of a trade if indeed it is just Larkin would have to require an additional player from the Wild as they do not have the cap room to take on Larkin's contract. Yorov is under 1m, and Hartman has Detroit on his no trade list, so Trenin would have to be part and probably Sturm in addition to Yurov and Strammel and a 1rd pick. My guess is Detroit would also want another prospect in the Wild's system.

Stramel has the potential to become another Erikson Ek-type center… strong, gritty, not afraid of the net-front presence.  Detroit isn’t really going to get a perfect trade no matter who it is at this point.

I think Detroit &  Larkin., will be waiting a while for a great deal to at least January once teams know what direction they are heading..... both sides have to expand there thoughts to get this done....great show guys, keep on rollin.

Not a chance DET takes that trade

Yep the contract and the production.  Worth two 1sts and Daniel yurov and a prospect (stramel). It makes no sense to trade him now UNLESS it’s that.  Simply because you may get a playoff team that he concedes to go play with and get a better haul.

Here's my take on things: Larkin has shown less and less grit and determination through the years, a little like a spoilt kid, and knowing what Yzerman went through NOT being from there, bugged him to a boiling point.

I bet he saw players like Seider wanting to give their everything whilst Larkin has cooled off, and then came the Olympics and look what happened.... Never forget the first match after the Olympics, Larkin looked like prime-time Yzerman and Lidström quality player and the match after, oh boy, it was like a clone stepoed onto the ice. Crazy what the difference was.....

i think the wings have already probably said no to this since it could’ve been offered the Larkin requested a trade, if it didn’t happen then why would it happen now?

I don’t see the Wild trading three centers for one when that’s what they ultimately need. It’s not the value, but they’d be trading away all of their depth. If Faber wasn’t hurt, I’d see Brodin in there, especially to make the money work.

Can any team sign a center that scores 30 goals a year plays top line minutes at 8 million dollars a year over the next five? No they cant So either teams pay for what Larkin is worth, or they don't get him Detroit doesn't have to trade him at all.I think people forget that.

Why would anyone overpay for Larkin when we all know the wants out. Wings cannot expect to "win" this trade without taking futures that my turn out as overpayment.

Brodin would definitely be part of this deal if Faber didn't get hurt.

Frank is so out of touch. He just wants his predictions to come true. No chance that package gets it done or else it would have happened. Minnesota are going to have to attach a small mountain of 1st rd picks. Damage is already done in Detroit, Larkin is under contract & it’s clear Detroit is going to hold out until a team pays big.

I say NO. It's NOT equal Value.. It's like Detroit asking for Bondy and offering Compher, Plante, and Casper.  Would Minny do that deal.??? no way.  And how would Detroit make roster space for the added players??

Just want to point out it has been known for some time Hartman has a no trade to Detroit.

Detroit doesn't need numbers for Larkin they'd need an equal or better player, they're loaded with c+ players. It was stupid to make Larkin unhappy. Larkin is seriously underpaid just for an equal player it'll cost 3-5 million in cap space. Larkin leaving is a serious loss for Detroit.

I think this is really a two-pronged problem. One, Larkin wants to go to an American contender. He doesn't want to go just anywhere and he has complete control over that. Most contenders aren't going to give up a player of Larkin's caliber because they are trying to win a cup. Two, Detroit's ownership seems to think they are a team on the cusp - which is pretty delusional. Thinking that trading for a player as good as Dylan Larkin and keeping everything else the same will get them a deep playoff run or even into the playoffs is a little crazy. Especially with Edvinsson wanting out and Kane hitting the road.

I think what they really need to do at this point is just accept they need to start at least a partial rebuild and see what team that Larkin will go to will give them the best prospects/most 1st rounders and see what they can get for Edvinsson (which will probably be a pretty good return).
