This rivalry was some of the best Hockey I ever got to watch.

The game that changed it all for Detroit.  Great memories.

Anyone else here after the news?

I didn’t realize it was Vernon’s 300th win ..  wow.  Best regular season game in history . This game changed Redwings’s history .. the turning point .

Watching Darren McCarty pummel the shit out of Claude lemiuex never gets old.  Mike Vernon kicking Roy’s ass is also gratifying

Great refereeing here, McCarty received only 4 mins for beating Claude Lemieux, and both goalies received only 2 mins. each!

The last of the great rivalries.

But Gary Bettman would try to tell you that the NHL is better now with almost no fighting. Cause you can tell how all the fans hated this.

my dad and I were at this game, the greatest regular season game of all-time the non-stop fighting and the OT win, I lost my voice after this game for 2 days I was yelling so loud. What a great memory with my dad at this game

The greatest regular season game in history. Bar none no question.

This game is nearly 30 years old! better than any boxing match ,better than any MMA fight, better than any UFC fight.

Greatest Hockey Game Ever!

I'll never forget sitting on my bunk bed screaming for my dad to come and watch.

All these years i was just focusing on the brawl and fights, and just found out daren mccarty scored the game winner. Unbelievable!

This game should be played 24-7 across the USA for the foreseeable future.  Don’t forget where we came from!!

I'm so glad I got to see this when it happened, even if it was only on TV and not in person.

This was the best game I've ever seen. 😅😅

Scottie was above it all... hockey self rules

Watchng this live...I thought this was the night that showed the Wings were ready to win the Cup

3:35 had never seen it from this angle.
