I’m learning this and you make it very clear thank you!!!!

Great details and multiple methods!! Thank you for this amazing project

Very good info!!!!!!  Thank you!!

Great pace! Looking forward to FPP!

Learnt i have been using my add a quarter ruler the wrong way 🤣. I do a sort of de Jonge with the ruler. Love Niemeyer’s way of keeping the points well inside the block. This would be very forgiving and maybe moves bulky seams from the block edge. Harder to draft though. Also would provide a lovely space for the quilting thread to travel around the point.  Nothing worse than getting a beautiful point and then machine quilting right over the top. 😩 i like to draw grain lines on the back of the paper plan to orientate the next fabric. (Especially if too lazy to precut.) And am eternally waiting for someone to compliment me on my fabric grain!
The disadvantages of FPP is that you don’t get to cut out and audition your fabric choices on a design wall before sewing and you cannot iron seams open to reduce bulk. Also need to remove the papers. The advantages are accuracy. Fabric can’t shift and all your blocks are the right size. It makes complicated blocks so easy you can make them 3 inches big and - voila - cornerstones!  Also easy to do a FPP inside a FPP if it is your first fabric. ❤

Thank you for this video. I am working on a Niemeyer pattern now and would like to know if you sell the folding plastic with your steps attached to the plastic?

Für solche einfachen Blöcke braucht man kein Papier !

Michael, could you do a video on making leaders? Mine are getting old and it is time to make new ones!
